Had a look over the forum before joining and was most impressed with all the info and help, my wife and I are coming over from the UK to drive from Sydney to Perth in a 2 berth camper, I did this when I was 9 , my mum and dad 5 of us kids and a Corgi pup called Dinkum, in a 66 Holden station wagon, in 1970, not a lot of sealed roads then...
We are going to do roughly the same route and I sure ill have a few questions and other stuff ..
Looking forward to doing the trip again .

Welcome to the Forum Pete. What time of the year do you intend to travel, and how long have you planned to stay? You will note this is a rather large island compared to the totality of Europe, see www.bing.com/images/search%3a%2f%2fwww.getalookatthis.com%2fwp-content%2fuploads%2f2018%2f09%2fcw-glt-2017-01-22-Australia-Europe-768x588.jpg&exph=588&expw=768&q=picture+of+Australia+with+Europe+superimposed&simid=608035711865869303&FORM=IRPRST&ck=2FD43A575EDF19934B786FBD6A6EA6E4&selectedIndex=0&itb=0&idpp=overlayview&ajaxhist=0&ajaxserp=0

Thanks Possum, I know it is a big continent , did the trip in 1970, have some original pictures of the trip.
Get into Sydney mid April and have allowed 4 weeks total for the trip cross with hopefully about 7 days for WA and a few days either end in a hotel.
Will have a look at you links when I have a better connection

Hi Pete, if 4 weeks is all you have then so be it. I hope you have a liking for white lines though.

Yep should be okay , did it in 1970 in about 14 days I think lot of dirt roads, and a few day stop overs....
would have been different if it had been pre covid as a lot cheaper then, but hey that's the way things are ..
