So the Federal government is going to spend Billions on FN housing. WTF.
Why dont they (FN)do like everyone else and buy or build their own housing. If they want to live in isolated communities all good but dont expect the rest of us to prop them up. Use the money from their mining royalties and Billion of dollars from Dept. of Aboriginal Affairs .

sooner or later people will really get fed up with the system and protest, it would be nice if there was a break down of were all the money that goes towards aboriginal funding actually goes?
if my figures are correct each aboriginal has approximately $50-60,000 per person spent on their behalf each year, what is it spent on and who are the beneficiaries ?
try an keep the discussion non political

Got to put something on all that unused, vacant, crown land that they're claiming native title over and a gold plated McMansion would be just the thing.
Except some of it isn't vacant and some of it isn't unused.

It is not that far away the day is going to come where retirees and working-class people are going to say
"We are not going to stand for this anymore"
I am not just talking about First Nation but about many things in general, Like paying road tolls, paying for the huge petrol tax on top of our rego, and other hidden fees.
And what about this ute tax and then to recoup the lost revenue through Petrol tax, a cents per kilometer which will start small and of course will increase over time.
There must come a time when we are going to have to rebel and tell the governments that enough is enough.

Do you have a link to access that information?
One piece of interesting information is in this article lamenting how NSW is the state that pays the least for social housing ... $200 per capita. At the opposite end of the spectrum NT pays ..... wait for it ..... $20,953 per capita. That is over 100 times the NSW rate, and more than 20 times the rate of every other state except Tasmania.
There are no figures on the number of recipients, other than 10% of the population has "unmet housing needs". But even if a massive one third of the population are recipients, that would mean $60,000 per recipient, and probably over $200,000 per family. How could it cost that much?

And that probably doesn't include the benefits FN people can get that the rest of the country can't
For example, Did you know that if you are FN and claiming traditional land rights over sections(s) of land you are entitled to Federal Government grants to assist (or even entirely fund) that process whereas if you're the local council who has to defend against such a claim (which may include every piece of government land including community halls, sports fields, libraries, parks and recreation areas) you are not entitled to a single cent of Federal Government assistance. (Thanks Albo)

Unfortunately no, I got rid of it months ago.

Social Housing Funding - see chart by state
