Some time ago, I mentioned that I was going to tell you a story about my encounter with an Yahwee( yowie, bigfoot), this is a true story that happened two years ago. Now I want to know whether, you want to hear this story, or are not interested, As it is a long story with a twist. If interested please ask. I just don't want to be belittled over it if so.

G'day Ric,
Sounds interesting. I'm always up for a good story.
'Some' of us oldies have trouble reading long articles on the poota, so is there any chance of and if no trouble, give us heaps of paragraphs, even if one or three are not supposed to be there. It makes it a lot easier to read. It's not an English lesson or exam.
Keep Safe on the roads and out there (Including Yahwee country)

yep, give it a whirl, and as the Big Chief, plenty of paragraphs
Could be better than the flying saucers at midnight after a few beers

I will try to do paragraphs, just don't know how to do it. Still think of this computer as a telex machine I used to use in the army.

Is this story going to be like.
I left Sydney with a heavy load on my semi one afternoon to do the 600 odd mile trip to Brisbane and found the next morning on arrival I had done 1000 kilometres.

Me too BC go for it mate. As a young shooter in kiwi I along with my brother and a young bloke from the next door neighbours farm once spotted three large cats two brown and one jet black bounding away from us about 500mtrs away, these cats were larger than a big farm dog.

I love to read a good story irrespective how long it is or how many paragraphs it has.
I particularly love a personal experience.
Let it rip Ric.

Teletype telexes, it was while I was waiting to do a course, so they put me in the Comm's room, and taught me how to use one. I didn't mind it, but I was flat out on this telex machine, writing telexes and receiving messages, it was how the army ran their message service before com puters, many Restricted and Secret messages came in via the telex machine as well, considering every message was automatically copied via Telecom( Telstra) at the time, I am surprised at what they allowed to go via the telex machine.

Perhaps it would be better if you used the term "yowie". "Yahwee" (yahweh) makes it sound like a religious experience.

The reason I am using Yahwee instead of Yowie, is the local indigenous, call them that. I spoke to an 101yo elder about these "Yowies", and he said we have been calling them yahwee's, since forever, and personally "yowie" seems like a joke word, not to be believed.

The internet here is atroscious, not staying on for more then a half hour at a time, has been this way for the last 6 weeks, we are on fixed wireless nbn, will never be getting fibre.

I tied to save it, but you cannot even if you are on the page with grey nomads, all I was getting was the GN fonts, not the article. The internet has been down today four times, for over 3 hours, just got it back. May do it on an usb stick, and try to upload to GN that way.

Try doing as a word document, Ric, saving as you go then download to GN as a attachment. Similar to attaching a pic.
Keep Safe on the roads and out there (including writing things on the poota)

Type it into Notepad, save it periodically, then copy and paste the full document into your GN composition window. ZIP it and attach it if you want to shrink the content.

Due to the net going down for the last month local up until wednesday last week, I couldn't risk it, now that is solved It will happen this w.end.
