Brings back a lot of memories. Suzi Quatro, Elton John, Sweet, Ross Ryan and Joe Walsh are my picks.
I started learning guitar when I was nine, later changing to bass guitar. I ended up in a well known Ballarat cabaret band and we worked mostly in the pokie clubs along the Murray from 1987 to 2000 back in the day when the clubs literally had that much money, they didn't know how too spend it. So we made very good money. The clubs were packed out.
When the pokies were introduced to Victoria in 1992, it wasn't long before the crowds started to thin out. Our lead singer still does solo gigs up there, but says the clubs are very, very quite.
One large club, the Wentworth Services Club permanently closed down. We were lucky enough to enjoy the good times.

Good as this was, I was a bit disappointed 'cause a few similar posts that I have seen allowed you to hear the song just by clicking on your selection.
