Hi Brianvicki, "is there any alternative" yes besides the Englaon TV you could buy another brand, plenty of smart 12 v tv's on the market, or you could buy a smart TV box which will give you a smart function on your old TV but that will mean something else to carry and hook up. I would just buy the smart TV, I have an Engloan 24 "and just hot spot it to my phone when I don't have WI Fi , very happy with it. Ian

My third Englaon smart caravan tv has died in about 3 years, they were not cheap, hard to get warranty. I didn't bother with the last one. I went out and bought a 24" from the good guys for $200 not smart though, and is working well, I use it with chrome cast. The problem with Englaon is I bought it on line which makes a pain to return to another state. And I would not buy another Englaon. Also when I bought the Englaon they were not available from Bunnings I'm sure.

No worries Brian, Some times it's a lucky dip with these things, But the main reason I would not buy another Englaon is because the difficult way they treated me.

Hi Brianvicki, I have had the Englaon 32 Smart TV for a couple of years.
Absolutely great TV and get all the free to air on demand programs/channels and my subscription apps like Foxtel, Kayo etc.
WIFI connection is excellent, and the sound is good also. I can only assume the 24 smart version will be similar.
Be careful, make sure it specifies 'smart' TV as there are other models in their range.

Hi Brian, We have had our Englaon 12volt 24 inch tv for sometime now, very pleased particularly the sound quality. Currently using Google Chrome to enable access to our paid tv services.

I think I floated a similar idea before, but here is a 12V 24" Dahua 24-inch Full-HD LED Monitor DHI-LM24-C200:
I'm thinking you could implement the SMART TV functions via a STB or your computer or both. That should cost less for the package, plus it should be less painful when one component breaks. Moreover, you don't need to carry two screens.

I have the 24 inch frameless. Its a bit smaller without the frame but same size screen. I had trouble at first trying to hotspot it to my phone. Their backup service was really good. They paid for return freight & postage back to me. I now have a modem from cowfish Technologies & it wifis to that & works well.

Thanks for the ideas everyone. Luck has it, were up in Exmouth, went to the local post office and they had a 12v Blaupunkt 24 smart tv with dvd player on special for $229, so bought it on the spot.
So easy to setup, it uses the modem for wifi and Bluetooth to my Bose speaker for nice sound.. winnning

Hi All, Since I bought the motorhome with the Englaon-tv in it, I must say I would not buy another. my remote is so hard to use as it doesn't change when required and sometimes several pushes and still nothing. But that is remotes Hey.
Something I don't like is the new Web oz loading all the time first up.
Im want to replace our current cheap 12v tv in the van and looking at the Englaon 24
I would like to be able to connect to my modem and watch Netflix, 7 +, tenplay etc and have good sound
is there any other alternative, also Bunnings online seem to have it a lot cheaper ?
