Some people plan as if it was a major military manoeuvre and just have so much stuff in case of "what if". I found when I first set off that I was overloaded with stuff I never used. I removed all items I didn't use in the first three months and just have the basics in tools, a few spares and a set of jumper leads and a tyre inflator.
I have found that when I needed something specific there is either a shop nearby that sells it or I purchase it online and have it sent to the post office in the place I am heading towards.
Don't overthink it. Keep a sense of humour and accept that things sometimes go wrong but they also do when you are sitting at home.
Enjoy your new lifestyle, it is great.

And as Dougwe is fond of saying...only run it at night while people are sleeping, so you don't annoy everyone.
ps aussie1, more people should be buying a Tim The Toolman genny powered by an LS1 350 chevy, way to go...
