We tow on a trailer, do not have any protection. Do have mudflaps which are close to road. Have friends who flat tow, one uses a mesh between MH and car, other's nothing. Flat tow people tend to stay on the bitumen.

Yes, ok. We have had a motorbike on a hitch for 14 years. Absolutely no problems or hassles, its just at 73 it may be time to hang up the helmets. I have no concerns getting it on/off (2min) but just think its time to put a little car behind. Looked at a dual axle tilt trailer, now looking at the flat tow. Any help with plus or minus would be helpful.
Thank you again

We had a motorhome and had a PROTECT-A-TOW purchased from Northcoach RV and found it was great for not only protecting from stone chips but also to hold up all the cables
I have been using stone stomper from about 2008. I tried the protection that came with hitch n go, car bra without success. Stone stomper stops dust and crap into engine bay, air filter and windscreen.
I have a plate with square hole with a length of 15mm square tube to attach to car to replicate caravan for which it was designed. Stone stompers my now have an engineered solution now.
Bunnings don't stock 15mm drill bits to drill square holes, I asked, the girl turned saying she would find out then laughed as I nearly had her.

Hi Bas. We use a tandem Tilta trailer with 1800 kg car on. Tows well, easy to load vehicle. Heavy on the alloy rims that they come with. Now damaged beyond repair 4 rims in 30,000km

Triangular drill for square holes in metal.
