were looking at going across to Brisbane from Perth beginning of May 2025, has anyone experienced transporting a vehicle/poptop caravan across via ship or train ?
We have a 2014 grand Cherokee and a 2018 Windsor single axle poptop

I think you can take it by train, but I don't know about the van. Thart was years ago that I saw cars on a train deck. It wont be cheap especially to Brisbane maybe $5-7k

Its cheaper from Perth across, we sent the Jeep across via train during COVID to Adelaide and it wasnt to bad and worked out cheaper than driving and accomodation.
a mate had his van sent from Victoria to Perth by ship and the price wasnt too bad.

DRIVE!
One of my favorite trips. The Nullabor is fantastic - especially at night!!
Stars like you never saw - dingoes calling and answering - cliff viewing
of the Southern Ocean - overall a once in a lifetime necessity.
Excellent road.

You can't take a caravan on the train, only a car. It will be a very expensive exercise, if at all possible I would drive.
