Coming into Charters Towers today about 10km out.. 110kmph down to 80kmph then 60kmph.. suddenly coppers everywhere on both sides of the road... sent them a friendly wave, past them and speed limit back to 110kmph... first time I've seen road signs forcing you to slow down so they can get you for speed...

Will be trying out a new one this NT long weekend with the dunny servicing 7 bums over the four days, temperature's are up & my bed only a few feet away it will be a good test run. It was highly recom...

I like many people use cable ties for various jobs around the Motorhome. trailer Etc. I just ripped a four inch gash down my arm having caught it on the cable tie where the excess was trimmed by a pair of side cutters. VERY Sharp. Luckily not too deep. Now I know to position the ties so as not to repeat that du...

Hi Everyone, I have just joined the forum today and also just purchased a van ready for travelling. My question today is we are going to the tennis in Melbourne in January and wanting a caravan park close to public transport may it be bus or train and it doesn't have to be close to the inner city. Can anyone...

I have only been doing this for a short time, but the number of times I have seen people (mostly women), standing between the van and the tug while they direct the driver back to hook up the van, which I think is silly. It would only take a little dew on the sole of the shoe for the foot to slip off the pedal and s...

I apologise for the late notice. The local indigenous group is protesting against the proposal to shut down some isolated, small communities. This started in WA, but is being protested nationally. The small communities are started by disgruntled or family groups from larger established commun...

Hi All, We've a Millard Weekender and keen to dispense with the foam mattress that it came, second hand, with. We're on the South Coast of NSW and a search on Google gives supplies "pick up" from Melbourne. Freight would be a consideration from there and we won't be visiting Melbourne for a y...

I'm at Fletcher Creek at the moment, it is as dry as the pub with no beer. The nomad next to me says it has been like this for two years.
