Ranger Caravans
(Preview)
Any one got CURRENT info on Ranger caravans. I know that the company was deregistered a few years ago and have read a heap of stuff online. I found a couple with single beds - would like to do a swap but just not sure if the company is ok now. The one I saw was a 2011 model so I assume they are up and running again...

Its rained in Coober Peedy S.A
(Preview)
Last night it rained gently all night here - this is an arid desert with an interesting water supply history. Up until 1922, opal miners had to cart in their own water, then the Govt built an underground storage tank to hold 2 million litres of water - unfortunately it didn't rain enough to fill up. In 196...

Where to hide at Easter in north/mid Victoria?
(Preview)
We don't usually travel at Easter time (nor school holidays) but this year we are. Since being in Vic we realised pretty quickly that waterways, lakes etc are NOT the places to be for Easter. Any suggestions for a quiet spot - not too dear - for the Easter break?

Trucks on the highways
(Preview)
The two awful truck crashes in NSW today have got me wondering what's like to drive some highways in a slower vehicle such as a campervan. It's been years since I've driven the Newell and I've never driven in the outback. Do any of you seasoned nomads have advice you could give me about danger spots to b...

Caravan roofs.

I went to the Perth caravan show last week. While having lunch amongst the stalls around the perimeter of the arena, and because this area is elevated, I could see over the roofs of the vans.
