Storing a Poptop

Hi. I am verrrry new to this life, so gently please. I have a 18' poptop Viscount and wondering if there is a right or wrong way to store it? Roof / awning up or down?? Finally, what is the best way to prevent mildew / mould from forming on roof skirts / awning?? Many thanks. KB
