Extreme weather conditions.
(Preview)
Listening to weather reports this morning seems as if the whole of Australia is bracing for some really hot summer weather. Please take care everyone. Seems we are heading for conditions similar to 4 years ago when the bushfires in Victoria were at their worse. Whilst it is good to know about the extre...

Emoticons - why are so many aggro/negative?
(Preview)
G'Day, Like many others who like to be nice and do unto others etc etc, I try to make my posts or replies as friendly as possible and try and not be ambiguous or patronising or whatever. (I'm good at that eh!). I try to add an "Emoticon" as a sort of postscript just to ensure what I write is take...

King Brown Snakes
(Preview)
I debated if to put this here or in 'I digress' but thought more people would see it here. I just watched a story on one of the TV Morning shows, they were milking a 2 metre King Brown Snake, scary just the snake but what surprised me the most was the amount of 'Amber' coloured venom they extracted, about 10m...

How long is too long???
(Preview)
Kiwi As and Kiwi Rainbow are caught up in this age old question, it was almost answered when a number of GNs spent a short time at Howlong on their way to Greens Lake .... the latest chapter has been exposed ... the answer must surely be "less than a furlong" if you can blink and miss it!!!

My new stickers
(Preview)
I had this sticker made for Lulu, and on advise from GN's, had a male name added to it so that I don't 'advertise' the fact that I'm a female travelling alone. By the way, Mike is the monkey that travels with me. So look out for me now! Woops! sideways Mike! -- Edited by Beth54 on Wednesday 2nd of J...

Thinking of folk who are grieving over the holidays
(Preview)
Although the world is celebrating, for some folk its a painful season. Many people have lost someone over these festive days. A cousin lost her dad christmas day and her mum new years eve. For myself, my dad died on christmas eve, and a close friend lost her 14 year old son on new years eve. We are not alone...

Rocked into the Tenterfield Showgrounds today thinking it would be a cheap option like in other towns. What a surprise to find it priced at $25 for a powered site for two people. Not much to look at with the toilets etc next to some stables. Back into the main part of town and found Seven Nights Caravan...
