Every time this road is mentioned a lot of negatives come up,but if it is done with some careful planning there should no problems. I know a lot have been there so show some photos of what people are missing,here are some with a slight diversion to Tunnel Creek.

You make the most of opportunities when they are available. We were (better half) not in a position to check tide heights etc so we made the most of what was available. The North West of WA is truly beautiful and really worth a visit no matter what budget you are on. JohnR

For those that like helicopter rides and have deep pockets? My good lady did the "Horizontal Falls" out of Broome. You can also access the falls out of Derby as well. John R

When you have done the Katherine Gorge you might like to try Katherine Outback Experience with Tom Curtain. Family show providing a taste of a 'working' cattle station showing horse breaking and working dog demonstrations.

North West WA has the most magnificent sunsets and high light of traveling through the Kimberleys.

Lake Argyle largest man made lake in the Southern Hemisphere/ Just think 949 klms to walk around and from one point to another on the lake 55klm. Did a run up to Mullewa and the WA Wheat belt at the end of August from Perth. We are currently house sitting in Perth and had a week to spare. Round trip was roughly 1500klm. Check the pics. -- Edited by JohnR on Saturday 29th of September 2018 01:25:40 PM

We're currently camped at Lake Hindmarsh NW VIC. The lake is ringed by big old River Red Gums. At The Wattles campground there is a tree with a branch that looks exactly like a horses head from every angle. It's larger than a Clydesdale's Head. Nature comes up with some strange things sometimes.
