Despite an overcast day we did a tour out through the opal fields to the Breakaways. Used in many films including "Mad Max", this intriguing landscape revealed its full glory as the sun broke through on the western horizon. Highly recommend a visit here if you pass through Coober Pedy.

Pauline and I were thrilled to see these great creatures leaping for some meat near Darwin, but on reflection, we total disagree with the practice. Not a good thing to train these killers to seek food around boats!! We're hearing of too many attacks these days. Cheers, Bob

Taken a few years ago, these pictures show a little of the great atmosphere at the races. You can free camp down by the river beyond the race course, or pay a small fee to stay at the course with showers, toilets and firewood! Worth the visit!

Some shots from our last stay. It was HOT! Fruit Bats were suffering and cattle were coming in to the camp area to drink from the sprinklers. Sadly we found four dead bats after one hot day, and one flew to ground under the spray from the sprinkler and licked water from its wing membrane. It survived....

	Jumping Crocs - Do not hang your arm out of a boat up north!
