Where is the best place to stay in Batlow? Are there any free camps

Very nice town with several free camps along the Gwyder River. Tourist info in main street ( next to Roxy Theatre) have good mud maps to the camps. Stayed at the above free camp 45 mins south of Taree the other day and what a find, very nice beside a river, no facilities at all so you have to be fully self contained, no signs saying time limits, Telstra cover was good.

Five mile Camp is set in the Murray Valley Regional Park west of Moama. Good facilities and good access to launch kayak or boat.

Grenfell Caravan Park. Good, clean and low cost. $19 unpowered site. A bit more for power. Butcher shop good meat. Bakery bread and pies great. Both in the main street.
