We are in Port Campbell at the moment and the wind is coming straight from the South Pole I'm sure. Don't know what the temperature is but I do know IT'S DARN COLD.
It's raining too. Good time to huddle up with the aircon on HOT and read a good book.
Moving on tomorrow so hope the weather is a bit better than today

Well HW - I have moved on from Biggenden - all the way to Murgon
and to help you settle in back there in Vic ...... the last two nights have been 4deg min yesterday and 3deg min today ..... yesterday got all the way to 15deg (but the southerly wind kept the windchill factor at 9.8deg). Days are sunny but yesterday was jeans and jumper ... the first time I have had them on in months.
Today sunny and better (no wind) but still only 17deg.
So ya not missing any warmer weather.
Stay well and hope all gets sorted out.
Happy travelling

I know where your coming from - I was born in Warrnambool and my brother farmed at Port Campbell for many years. I havent been down that way for 30 years and have no intention of returning, except for a "once before i die" trip. Lit the fire here a couple of times, mainly just because I could, I can sit by it with my beer and think I am off camping lol

You bet it is. At Port Albert in Gippsland the wind and rain is coming straight off the Bass Strait. Moving inland tomorrow to put some distance between use. Don't know what we are going to do when winter gets here.

Brrr ........ Canberra is nice and chilly, yesterday was a really cold and rotten day, but this morning although waking up to 5 deg c inside the van, it was quite nippy out on the bowling green 'til about 11am, then we enjoyed the lovely autumn weather that Canberra can occasionally dish out.

Cold and pouring rain here in the Yarra Valley. To rub it in, just got text from travelling friends, showing off a big barra they caught at Cooktown. I am not so envious of the barra, but they were wearing shorts and the sky was blue..........

I'm confronting the first winter since 1996, and I'm not coping, and it's not even winter yet. The aircon is on worm cycle, the winter clothes has come out of storage under the bed, and I'm wearing sox and shoes. It takes ages to decide what to wear and then get dressed in all those layers. Hopefully I'll get more jobs north.

Currently at Hidden Valley CP, but they only let you book in for 4 weeks, so not sure where we will go after that. Don't want to move too far out of town as we'll spend most of our time playing golf, which is next to the airport.

Thanks for that guys, whats it like there?
I noticed they have all increased a fair bit in price since last year as well except Lee Point which is where we usually stay. Its not the flashest place but its clean and a lot of shady sites.
They don't take bookings though unless they have changed their policy and just down the road from the airport but out of the flight path.
