Hooray - farmers and gardners are rejoicing here in the Scenic Rim (SE Qld) . Started raining through the night, and still coming down now, looks like it is set in for the day -
Put paid to a few things happening in town today - but we need the rain - some peoples water tanks are almost empty - mine is now overlfowing!
Anyone else getting it in their area?

Raining here in Trial Bay. Nothing exciting to do so I got a free DVD and have just had an enjoyable hour with the gang from the Carry On series. Just watched appropriately "Carry on Camping" with Sid James, Hatty Jaques and co.

Here in the Brisbane Valley, it poured all night and it has continued all day today. My plants are loving it!!
Cancelled my outdoor plans for today and decided to do "any damn thing I want to" so I have spent a large part of the day "playing" on the computer. I bought a pretty pink 'puter mouse yesterday so am now using that. I'm sure it's making it run better.
Fiddled around making a "movie show" of 1200 photos from last years Tassie trip. A bit of a way to go yet...but tomorrow is another (wet?) day
Later on, I'm going to download some books to my e-reader.... and then...because it's Saturday afternoon...I will watch "What's Up Down Under", "The Great Australian Doorstep" and "Queensland Weekender".
Ohhh!! It's a tough life...but someone's gotta do it

Yep - me too, playing on computer - checking things out etc. Hope it stops raining tonight - fete at local school tomorrow, working in the Visitors Info kiosk from 8am - and is a major fundraiser for school - rain will make it a bit unpleasant.

Rained in Charleville last night but not heavily. Started seeing wet roads after Bollon on the road to St George. The ground is very wet here, but it has cleared up. Moving on in the morning.

Know how you feel John, we had rain last week for the first time in almost 4 months, it seemed a bit weird. Now at Geraldton WA, and theres strong wind blowing... think I'd rather have that shower of rain!.

It's always windy at Geraldton. I know they really need rain over there. I hope it keeps coming. It's been fine and sunny here in Adelaide for about 2 weeks, so dry I had to water my garden. Knowing this part of the world it won't be long before it rains again.
