Why is it that the peoples workers party always cost the little working people in every state always gets a rotten deal QLD NSW VIC SA NT TAS WA
then soon as they get their pay rise we throw them out why can we not do it before they get the rise then when we complain about only getting monkeys to goven the country or states we then know they are only worth peanuts because the more money we give them the more peanuts they should be getting and this both sides of gov. (The more they act like monkeys)

Never an easy solution around though is there?
This country, heck, the whole of the Western world, has been built upon ever increasing consumption and an ever increasing market, and that implies an ever present level of inflation.
With inflation, which economists regard as a good thing, you will get ever increasing prices and that is the crux of the problem faced by a lot of people - prices rising while the income stays static.
I don't have an answer to this, I don't think anyone does, but it is a simple fact of Australian economic life and has been for a couple of centuries.

Once Fuel Hits $1.60 (As for Diesel) I believe country towns will suffer the most...Shorter trips will be the norm....I, for instance will go no further than Greens lake and Tocumwal......And I will take all that I need as far as Fuel. and plenty plenty of tucker.....I'm sorry too say that! It is going too be very serious....They say New Zealand pays over A Dollar a Litre.....Geez! How can that be comparared to Australia with the distances we have too travel.........

In this corporatised world the fat cats get fatter on the basic spending of the sluggers on the street. It's horrible and it's not going to change any time soon. When those over-paid corporate greedy gutses get paid what they are REALLY worth, not what they award themselves, things might balance out. But it will be a cold day in hell, and I'll be long gone from this World when that happens. No one, not even politicians, but certainly not managers and CEO's are worth multi-million dollar salaries. No one is worth more than $140,000 a year - NO ONE! Then they get huge payouts when they stuff up. If they have a 5 year contract worth $25m and they stuff up in year 2 or 3, they should be made to pay their way out of that contract, NOT get a payout to cover the balance of the contract. Jeez this country runs upside down at our expense on the streets, the little people. When will reality kick in? It's so frustrating! I had to go to a medical clinic this morning. It's a new building with its own car park. They charge $1.50/hr to park there. A private car park! That's just greedy!!!! And that's the way of the world.

Think yourself lucky- I pay $1.73.9c for diesel on the island where I live, and it was $2.33 a ltr at Bamaga in October! I have an 128ltr tank and buy it in bulk in town when there, and it lasts me 3 months on the island(we have 25ks of roads) .I like going south cause it seems cheaper!I wonder what it will like when I retire?..................

Dont come to Sydney there are numerous medical centres where you have to pay to park even shopping centres and and there's 2 MacDonalds I know of where you have to displat a parking ticket from the machine so they can keep a check on how long you were there, dont like Macas so not a problem for me. Next thing they will be doing is to charge a fee to travel on tourist drives just like toll roads, did I hear someone say Great Ocean Rd.

Most of the hospitals now charge for parking in NSW, well suburban areas anyway. They contract the parking out to private enterprise evidently

Well. at least we haven't got as bad as England where the streets are so so full you have to 'pay and park' outside the town and catch a bus in!

New Zealand fuel 91octain $2.11 , Deisel $1.57. Plus with Deisel we have to buy road tax kls. or miles in old days. Costs me $400 od $ for 10 thousand ks. for my Jackaroo. Trucks have hub meters on to record distance.

Your on my pet subject here but don't get me started, the whole situation can be blamed on over population this planet was never meant to provide for five billion let alone seven billion and thanks to the chinese and Indians it will keep increasing so will the demand for food, water, land and oil. (fuel will go to $6 per litre soon, if you think I'm full of it, just wait a couple of years)
Diesel only costs me 18 cents per litre, I don't know what you lot are doing wrong more than likly getting it from the wrong place.

If a person has the skills, knowledge and contacts to increase a corporation's profits by (say) $10m then they are certainly worth $1m a year.
The same thing applies if they are able to reduce a corporation's loss by $10m.
They are simply worth the money and I am not sure how anyone could say they are not.
I agree that there is, and will always be, a great deal of the old school tie looking after their mates, and there will always be examples of stupidity where someone is paid to just go away, but we don't live in a perfect world.

Mate, to put it bluntly, I take offence to your racist remarks. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs, but when it makes others feel... F*ing angry, is the only way I can describe it, then keep them to yourself.
