When I type 1770 into the search button I get 26 matches availble. But only 5 show up with no way of accessing the remainder. No matter which way I do it I still only get the same 5. Has anyone got any idea how to get the lot when going through the seach button.

Have found another couple by googling 1770 thegreynomads. Gave me some more info on what I was looking for, eg the road from Bundy to 1770/AgnesWaters. Trying to work out a plan for travelling north. Why can't we find these in our own forum, would be a lot easier.

Yes sorry I do get the total 26 matches at the top. I'm not sure whether the search function is a data base search for the forum only or something similar to a google search. I would think the 5 entries may be the valid result.

Janette, 3 I found on google are from the grey nomads site and are more recent dates as well. I don't know how the search button on here works either but it should do better than it is doing. Also if the right words are not put into the subject title they won't be found at all on here. Thats the biggest difficulty. Hard when you are trying to work out a travel plan.

Marj, if you don't want to go via the Bruce Highway, go through Bundy, and out along Rosedale Rd. then turn right onto Foxtail Flats Rd, at the Servo., which takes you up to Agnes, and 1770.
Otherwise just follow the Highway to Miriam Vale, and then turn right, and cross the railway line. Road is well signed from there.
Cheers,
Sheba.

Thats what I was thinking of doing Sheba. I have always wanted to go to 1770 so thought this was my chance. Will go the Bundy to 1770/Agnes Waters way.

Will head down to Glasshouse Mountains first to see Della and hopefully catch up with Jimbo if I can find him. Trying to get rid of severe Sciatic Pain at the moment then will be right to start.

Someone from another forum did 2 windscreens in the last week or so on the road to Agnes Waters. I don't know which road but take care.

Two Windscreens I don't know where you would find a place on the road to Agnes Water to get the first broken windscreen fixed that a lone two .

I think that the number 26 refers to the number of times that 1770 is found in the 5 posts there are not 26 posts about 1770 Cheers David

Type in Town of 1770. You'll get a lot more results..
Happywanderer said

Nope, still get the same 5. but it does say at the top there are 15 matches, not the 26 when I did it with just 1770.
Roving-Dutchy I don't think that is it as when I go into google I can get so many more and all are from The Grey Nomads, even my own question.
Its just on this site, for some reason they will only show you 5 results. There should be facilities for going into the rest of the 26.

Re this website: Has anybody tried to access old pm's? Only the first 5 are shown, and you can open previous pages, but I found I couldnt go back as far as the message I was looking for. Will have to find a way of saving them, or saving the info that kind people have given me over time.

Now thats a thought Gerty. people give us phone numbers, address etc, details we think are save on here but if we can't access them later we have to write them in a book somewhere before we lose them.

We did the road from Agnes Water to Bundaberg last year, it is a good sealed road all the way. Can't say how well signed it is from the Bundaberg end as we did it the other direction.

Nothing in particular brickies. Am trying to plan a trip north in the next week or so and would like to see 1770 on the way through. I went through the search button as I knew there had been a lot written about it in the past. Probably got as much as I need now, did chat to a couple up town today who said Don't go on the weekend as unbelievably crowded. They have just come through and heading south. Thanks Nicholstones, good info. I have seen the signs going out of Bundy when I have gone to the Botanical Gardens, will be easy getting that far. lol

If you designate which part of the forum you are looking in ie I digress or Road conditions - does it give you a different 5 posts to look at? I wasn't writing them down but I noticed it gave them in a different order if I asked to search in a different section of the forum.

I tried that NeilnRuth, in advanced search. Was amazed I got the same 5 from different topics even though I had asked for a particular topic.
