Hi all, I am considering a few days away with my lady (wife) at the end of this week... can anyone tell me how busy it normally gets at Greens Lake during Anzac Day weekend? I am looking for a quiet (kid free) few days somewhere.

Hello Mike
Not sure if it will be quiet or kid free, as with any long weekend the local like to get away with kids camping and boating
You may be better off going to Asyens reserve

There was plenty of room at Greens. Lots of families in tents but not as many as I expected and hardly anyone on the water. Ayson's was packed when I drove past Friday for a look.....

Go Greens. I've been here a week, empty now! Aysons was packed when I went to use their dump point, and loads of kids. There's def 2 vans staying for the next week.....!!! Ie it's quiet
but some cold nights. However, I have tons of firewood, and anyone is welcome to share the warmth, about to do a post about it. Easter was fairly quiet, a lot left Sunday, more on Monday, and the rest left today. I could hear a pin drop!!

I'll be arriving Friday May 9 for 3 days... Presently at Aysons Reserve and quite frankly I think Aysons is a better camp spot than Green Lake. Much more atmosphere.

But then, BG, you haven't been to Greens in the summer season when there are a lot of GN's there plenty of atmosphere then in my opinion, better than Aysons.

I'm sure you are right Jules. Summer time with all the Happy Hours.. I just happen to like Aysons because it's quiet, and a great atmosphere. Sometimes I like to be alone, so Aysons is it. Sometimes I like to rage like I did in my younger days (I'm still young ) so maybe Greens will be for me at that time...

If you have Camps7 it is on Map 63, page 199 and marked as #400. Details are on page 228. If you don't have Camps7, the co-ordinates are S36º27.34 and E144º40.08. About 12 km south of the town of Rochester, Vic.

Very quiet here last night (Friday May 09), 3 MHs, 1 caravan, 1 car, 2 tents. if you were planning on arriving last night HW, and you drive a camper same as your avatar, I didn't see you. I'm parked alongside the boat ramp. Forecast for today is rain but Sunday forecast to be sunny after a foggy start.
