Used to love that, when the boys were younger - go to their concerts, help make costumes and stuff - such good fun - I was very lucky to have that time with them, before they grow up and don't have time for old Nan now. Love them heaps though.

hi , Jules, grandkids are fun. We are in Gladstone now. we have been housesitting 2 dogs and 1 crab. The dogs kept digging holes under the fence so now we have put big rocks in the holes. the crab did not move for days and Strop thought it was dead but last night it moved. whew. thank goodness for that. cheers.

Hey - sorry I haven't been in touch - busy, busy - now down in Boonah, till Tuesday, then have to head north again to Strathpine to get Springers to do some work for us.
Showgrounds at Lawnton closed, but thought we may out to Dayboro on Tuesday, because we will need to leave the trailer there for the day - feel like asking Helen at Lawnton if we could just sneak in for a night, but don't think she will let us - oh well, that's life.
We have had Billeeeeeee's grandson here for a few days, went fishing with my grandsons the other day, and he caught his first ever fish - very excited about that he was.
Billeeee wasn't so happy - he fell down a cliff and cut his head (not badly), and scraped his elbow - poor man, looking for lots of sympathy.
Take care - keep in touch - see you on the road!

Hi Rocket - Billeeee is fine now, and his grandson caught his first fish - he was taken by my grandsons to their secret fishing spot, only a privileged few get to go there. He caught a huge catfish - threw it back after the photos were taken.
Bargara is near Bundaberg, nice spot. We are at Dayboro (Lawnton is closed for the show) - not bad here, not many spots, $15 for two per night, power and water. Washing machine for $3. Just two nights, while we get something done on the motorhome in Strathpine.
And kids can always be bribed in my opinion!!!!

Yes Bargara is East of Bundy on the coast, top day here today, cool and sunny, we had a excellent huge steak sando' on Sunday at the Club Hotel, Bacon, Eggs, very tender steak, Beetroot, Lettuce, Tomato, heaps of crispy chips, $15 includes a glass of red and the grand kids eat for free, now I'm getting hungry again!
Cheers

Sounds like a great day Spiderman
I picked up our Pajero after having the 6 B&S cable run to Anderson plug on the towbar. Then I fired up the diesel heater in the van and upgraded a few wires.

I need to add 1500kms by Saturday week so I guess I'm going for a drive. Recommended I should put 1500kms on the Ranger before I hook the van on - which is Saturday week.

Gratz on your new ute Spyder! What colour did you get?
Today, I did my Friday job, I have wonderful clients who pay me to regenerate their bush block at Sandy Point on the Georges River, it is 300 hundred steps from the river to the green bin at the top to take the asparagus fern pods and privet that I have been digging out for the past 3 years, so far this season it is looking like I am winning the weed battle!!
The moss I have been cultivating on the dry stone waterfall I have been building is looking great too. Lunch on the jetty with my bare feet dangling in the river is the icing on the cake.
I love Friday's.

Got a white one. No imagination. Could have had red, white, blue or dark grey. So that's 2 white cars in the garage. The director of Finance wanted a vehicle that didn't clash with the colour of the van. Another reason for white.
Did a round trip from Ballarat to Lorne via Dean's Marsh then back via Torquay & Geelong. Absolutely glorious day, especially at Lorne. The coast was calm as a mill pond. Not a surfer in sight.

Wow... Some sunshine to test new panel!! Also sat on my work chair and sorted the 12 pin & Anderson plugs on the van. Then lay under the van to add the appropriate amount of cable ties to neaten things up a bit.
Also started to modify the spare wheel cover to fit with my pvc tent pole holder across the back bumper. Trying to reduce some of the excess towball weight.
Also scored a DVD job for a lady who brought 10 VHS to be put to DVD, so started that as it cooled down this evening.

They may be encrypted Rocket. I have had that happen with some commercial VHS tapes.
My father began taking silent family movie film in 1955,when I was 6 y/o, then progressed to VHS video, and I have continued using super 8 then VHS and now using digital camcorder. I have a complete life history of my family up to the present day. I have not got all my own video put to DVD yet, work in progress.
This job is 10 VHS tapes with varying amounts on them. I edit out the bits where we all "accidentally" take the ground, blue screen etc!!!
I did another single VHS job today. A 90 minute tape with no editing required. A friend of one of our daughters, so mates rate $20. I thought it may have been encrypted but fortunately not as a lot more work when that happens!!!

Vanwise today I tidied up some of the new interior wiring and swept the floor, don't tell Eril I know how to use a broom!!! I got the telescopic ladder out to measure how much cable sheathing I will need to the new panel, it was so bloody cold that is all I could manage outside. Now need to get some adhesive sealer and when the next warmish day comes I will complete installing the new panel.
I hope everything still works after all my wiring changes!! Actually hoping everything works so much better.

Hi Dishlicker - travelling long term is a personal thing,I love it, so does my partner, but I know heaps of people who make time travelling a destination, not a journey. Do you caravan? For annual holidays etc? Because it is a short time, it is usually to a destination, in three months you could visit several "destinations" .
