Hey Jules, I'm on the ball re Greens Lake but I'm going to sit out the hot weather here at home near the coast until the weather cools. Have met yeoeleven, Beth and Pam, looking forward to meeting more Grey Nomads in the future.
So much fun when we girls get together isn't it? I've been known to dance on the table and even under it.

june, it is nice to meet up with the girls.
Me, tomorrow i am going to a huge toy sale. Teaching aids place. Last year met a teacher who was there with orders from her teacher friends. Says she goes every year n spends$500. Normally this costs $2000. I bought heaps too. A teepee with a broken box n last one was at least $100 cheaper. Grandkids love it.

Went to do groceries. Wanted to buy egg noodles (like little birds nests) - no longer on the shelf. Next to get bacon stock cubes- no longer on the shelf. was going to make a delicious vegie and egg noodle soup. Not today. Does anyone know a terrific vegie soup that is not like thick pumpkin soup, more watery? Thanks. Rocket

Hi Rocket - the shirts are nice - good quality - did you get one for Strop as well, or a cap? Hows it all going? You still at Redcliffe?

Busy week this week as one of our granddaughters is a dancer and has lessons 6 days a week. This week end is the end of the year concerts so I have been busy with costumes etc. What I am looking for is if anyone knows where I can buy a hanger which is clear. It hangs on a coat hanger but has several zips down the front with small compartments so that pins hair nets lipsticks and many other items a dancer has to have but in competition and days like today and tomorrow things have to be found quickly. I have tried $2 shop and Regect shop without success. Any ideas please.

Chicken - try some of those costume jewellery stores - thats what it sounds like to me. You know the ones - lots of young ones frequent them, in most shopping centres. Long time since I have been involved with kids dance lessons - goodluck - hope the concert goes well.
My daughter was in gymnastics, and one year the concert was well under way when a storm hit - big winds lifted the roof of the stadium, and rain started pouring in!!
Panic set in - one woman was absolutely terrified, running all over the place screaming for her daughter, knocked one child over and broke his arm!!!
Concert was rescheduled - but that woman wouldn't let her child back in the building.
Hey - just though - you can get toiletry ones as well as the jewellery hanging containers.

Oh good thought. I will try that shop. I know some mothers get a bit out of control at these events. Poor little fellow with the broken arm.
Christmas shopping. Done. Purses for daughters and daughter in laws. Strop wanted to buy the boys a tool kit each So off to bunnings. For others, purple camp kettle, camp light and stove top for gas bottle, school lunch boxes, and shaun the sheep fluffy sheep. Now for the wrapping. Happy days.

Having a lovely time at Seabird WA (actually Gabbedah) - went down the beach late yesterday, had chish and fips, waiting for the sunset, which was pretty spectacular over the Indian Ocean. Will post a couple of pics when I get them on the 'puter!
We are so lucky to be able to stay here at "sufil"'s place, where we had a get together last year and this - had a great time at that in early October, but the roads will be getting busy with school holidays and Christmas/New Year travellers, we have plenty of room, bore water and sunshine, what more does a free camper need? Not much!

Crossed off the last of my van to-do list (been working on it for a few days).
1. 12v external power point 2. external TV point 3. fixed my bent rear stabilisers 4. put in a ground anchor in the driveway 5. ability to tip a bucket of river / lake water thru a filter into my on-board tank (water is the most valuable asset in free camps) 6. got an external power outlet on the outside garage wall next to my van
Also poisoned the last of the weeds in my lawn. It was easy. They were the green things.

Jules, what great photos you took. Just looked up Seabird and Gabbedah WA on i.net and they look like very nice places to visit, away from all the towns, very natural coastline which I prefer. Have been up the coast north of Perth on my way to Mt. Tom Price and Paraburdoo and next time will call into more lovely places and have a better look and longer stay. Thanks for pickies.
Posted xmas cards (not many people do that these days) yesterday, used my discount stamps from the P.O. so the cost was not too much.
Gee Jules, now you have given me itchy feet again just when I was quite happy to spend the hot weather here at home with the air con!
Merry Xmas to you and yours

Thanks for the compliment June - I enjoy taking pics of sunsets - my favourite thing. There is a private caravan park at Seabird (cabins that are rented out), couple of van sites - but pricey. Guilderton down the road has a caravan park as well, but again $$. There is a small free camp called Moore Park just down the Highway (Indian Ocean Road) - Yanchep is about 25k south, as well as Two Rocks for shopping etc. Unspoilt along this part of the coast, and such a pleasure to visit. We came over for a Grey Nomads get together - will be another next year around end September early October - all are welcome to come and camp here. Great hosts.

Had a great day - woken at 6am by Sandra calling Billeeeeeee - Santas been, come on Santas been - and no she is not a child, a fully grown woman, who is a lot of fun.
Got some chocolates, biscuits, calendar, elf poo, reindeer poo, a fantastic cold lunch with our terrific hosts and their family (sufil) - none of us could eat anything at tea time - except more pav, trifle, and stained glass jelly (was more like a flummery) - early to bed, sleep in this morning. Quiet day today!
