Back in the days when I was using it the whole suite came up in the one window. You could not have the mail reader and the browser open at the same time. I like to have them open in separate windows, particularly with the monitor I now have where I can have them open side by side (1920 x 1080 resolution.) Just simple preference, if this does not worry you then try Opera - you might even like it. When you install it you may even like it. Anything is better than M$ Exploder.
Then since changing from Opera to Netscape and now Firefox they have introduced Add-ons. I have an Australian dictionary. PDF Download so I open PDF files in an external programme (Foxit Reader) and not lock up Firefox while it loads in a tab. Xmarks to synchronise the bookmarks and passwords in all of the machines I open. MS-Tab to open web pages where the page will not work in browsers that are designed to work with web standards and are M$ standards.

I use Firefox as well and use Foxit reader. A hell of a lot less bloated than Acrobat and Foxit is just about the same functions as Acrobat as well. I recommend it. I also use the Avast anti virus which updates forever in the background, all you get is a voice telling you that the anti virus has been updated. But I don't allow the bloated Microcrap to update, as I've had issues before when allowing auto updates.

I have used Netscape, Opera and now Thunderbird. Downloaded and installed Thunderbird 3.0 this morning. The big pro is it is not a bloated product like the M$ ones.
