And as for the shoes, you may try tampering with the pattern of the sole with a hot wire, or the sand paper might do it. It depends on the material the sole is made of. Or is that the "soul". Mmmm, now I have a dilemma. Anway who cares! At least everyone will know where you are at all times. Unless of course you start walking on your hands. Don't wear the shoes at home, only when you're out. Then you can embarrass your missus in public. How embarrassment!

Ever thought that may be why they were in the 2nd hand shop in the first place, the previous owner was also tired of the squeak. Get rid of them quick, off to the op shop for some other mug to put up with.

HW, I got two identical pairs at the op shop both the same size so I assume they were from the same person, one brand new, one slightly worn, the latter did not squeak at all (probably worn in). One pair cost me $6, the other $5, new these shoes cost over $200 a pair. My thoughts were perhaps the original owner had died (perish the thought)
I wonder if the current pair I'm wearing is complaining I'm a "cheap, cheap, Charlie"

Vic, now i know you have two pairs the solution is easy, wear one shoe from each pair and the squeak will only be half as bad will not stop the squeak but it will make it a bit quieter for the mrs.
Another thought (if you wear one shoe from each pair) is when the mrs asks you to hop down the shops she can go with you, because you could hop on the shoe that does not squeak.
The previous owner may have been deaf and did not know that there was a problem with his shoes.

Both pairs had the same sole Sheba (identical shoes) but I have thown the other pair out as they had a tear inside the lining that was giving me blisters.
Maybe the squeaky ones were missing their mates
And for you other lot, names have been taken and you will NOT be going to the sky on high when the next date is due
PS: I suppose with thongs you don't have to worry about getting your shoes and socks wet

Well tried the sandpaper and scuffing them on the road and footpath but still no joy. So more sandpaper, rasp file, wire brush even a saw blade.....haven't tried them again yet, but not expecting that they will stop.
