Barb and Daz are supposed to be here about the 10th, only a few days time. Oh goodie its all go at the moment with grey nomads, nearly as bad as the mice plague but more enjoyable.
Will you still be here mid week Jonathan??

Morning all, It hasn't stopped raining here all night, can't believe just how much after such a beautiful week when the sun was out and we got up to 24 degrees. Can't go out so sitting here in my PJs reading the sunday paper and peforming my own version of kareoke. Have a Neil Sedaka CD on at the moment. Oh Carol. Such wonderful songs, Stairway to heaven now. Oh I'm in the groove.

You go girl! Belt it out!
I don't know how the weather works in Vic, but if the it gets unexpectantly warmer in Qld, it means rain is on it's way. Which is true at the moment. Forecast is for 24 and there may be a thunderstorm this arvo.
Definitely diiferent down here Beth. We either have glorious dry hot weather or wet cold winter weather. We usually get whatever SA has had a few days before, then we pass it onto NZ a few days later. When I lived up in Brisbane (Park Ridge) for a while I noticed we would always get a downpour around 4pm no matter what the temp was like.

Yep, that's our summer weather usually. We don't normally get rain in the winter.
I went up to Maleny on Friday with my Kiwi friend and her visiting Mum. The weather up there is totally different, more like NZ. So much for showing her the lovely views at Mary Cairncross Park, out to the Glasshouse Mtns..couldn't see a damned thing, it was so overcast. We were driving thorugh the clouds!
So we put it on the bucket list for next time she comes over.

Get no sympathy from me either jon, We've got our own wet season at the moment. Better fine up tomorrow. Haven't been out the door in last two days. Your indoors will be smaller than mine. Love the sun, don't like this weather.

So most of the country must be in the same doldrums Honi. Makes it hard for Nomads to decide which direction to take to find some sun.

Beautiful Scenic Rim - sunny, warm, few clouds, think any storms have passed us by!! could do with a bit of rain though - very dry at the moment, and they say this is our fire period.

I am looking forward to dry and a bit warmer!!! I went shopping for a warmer top here in Dubbo today as I find the evenings colder than I hoped when I packed my clothes.

I'm at Cooloola Cove now, visiting my sister and b-i-l. They have his Mum staying and I also brought my friend and her visiting Kiwi Mum, so a lovely group. We've been 'plonking' and chatting since we got here a few hours ago!
We're here until Thursday, then home to collect Lulu!
