You do not need fast shoes, or golf clubs, camera would be handy.
if you go to Eucla at the service station is the young girl in my pics, I asked her if she could tell me where I could find the Nulla Nymph she asked why, I said I wanted to photograph her on the Nulla road, she said she would do it for $100, I said ok lets go, and out onto the road we went, I took 5 shots, could only use 3 as my camera was shaking too much.
Tell her wombat sent you.

Hi Ross, I did not suggest you carry jerry cans and buckets full of fuel. Bit much for the Nullarbor after you spent your last Woolies docket in Port Augusta. But if you look at the list below, not for the recent price but for the differences, you'll see what I mean. But in the end the fuel gauge is the most important criterium. But if you think that Mundrabilla and ****lebiddy are just 210 k's apart, who would want to fill up in Madura. I mean, they must be able to do the same deal with their wholesaler. Or?

On our several Nullarbor crossings, have consistently found Penong and Mundrabilla to be a bit cheaper than the rest, between Pt Augusta and Norseman. In Port Augusta, we fuel up at the big servo the trucks use, right out on the eastern edge, on the highway. The one we go to is on the northern side, but I think there is a similar one on the other side of the road. Last time through, was cheaper than Woolworth's, even with discount.

And even though you ask for no praise, I still wish to thank you for taking the time to post those bowser prices at the various outlets. I have saved this and will use it for when I travel.

Ross, just a note on Border Village (SA) and Eucla (WA), these are right on either side of the border and a stones throw apart. Each time I have been through Eucla has been a lot cheaper than Border Village.

The xxxx of C.o.c.k.lebiddy is an automatic censor set up by the site provider (if that is the right word) not the forum provider (Cindy) who has no control over it. I did hear that it is a Christian based provider which may explain it, but I am not sure of that.
Just a note on Nullabor R/House, although fuel dear they have a mobile repeater station there so a good location to make those mobile phone calls. We have stayed at the caravan park there a couple of times and from memory the price was reasonable considering where you are. See this pic with wild dingo's roaming around, keep you dog inside or with you on a lead at all times anywhere on the Nullabor so they aren't "dingo snatched" and as someone has already said look out for dingo baits.
The servo girl at Nullabor said a Ranger comes out now and then and shoots the dingos hanging around the caravan park, but then they build up again, they ask that you do not feed them as this encourages them.
I can read $1.71 for ULP on the petrol pump at Nullabor in the photo, that was about May last year.

Thanks Vic, will keep Eucla in mind. I note that prices at the towns each end of the Nullarbor are a bit lower than those that are more remote too. Obviously transportation costs are added to the price at the bowser.

Our dog, Ziggy, would most likely be making the trip with us too. We have three kids, all flown the coop, and all married with both kids and dogs of their own. We dont have a problem getting a dog sitter whilst we are away. However, if he decides to come, will make sure he is tethered at all times.
By the way, is the Nullabor Roadhouse the one thats closest to Head of The Bight?

If your travelling east Ross, yes, Nullabor the nearest. If coming from the east heading west, the closed Roadhouse at Yalata is just before the Bight turn off. Run by local aborigines from Yalata I understand. We have never bothered with the bight as we have always spotted whales at the cliff lookouts between Yalata and Border Village.
However, I believe the Bight is the better spot. See this link for the season between June and September, also show some pic's and prices etc for entry to the Bunda Cliffs area;

Yes Vic, you can get closer at the bight and the boardwalk is safe, not like looking over the cliffs at other places.

Thanks Wombie......last time I was on the other cliffs there was a couple of foreing tourists sitting on the edge of the cliff with their legs dangling over oblivious to the undercutting of the cliff and signs of past rock falls etc, makes you wonder sometimes.
