I live in Qld but support Geelong, but how can you hate the Maggies, they are one of the oldest teams in the league, these are the teams that built the competition

Despite my occasional tongue-in-cheek stir I'm not a big follower of any football code or other sport for that matter.
That said however, here in Newcastle it seems to me that the team that the locals love to hate is Manly and I've heard it said that in Newcastle they back two teams, the Knights and whoever is playing against Many. They seem to forget (I hope I have my facts right here as I'm going on a faulty memory, correct me if I'm wrong) that it was the Knights and Manly that between them saved the (then) ARL from a complete takeover or displacement by (News Ltd) Superleague. I think it was this that led to eventual formation of the NRL. Again I point out that I follow the politics of sport even less than the sport itself so I may be on unsure ground here.

I like Manly, not the team I follow but Des Hassler was a great player and a credit to the game. I'm pleased The main land of Australia kept the bragging rights, would hate to see it go to the Island state to our east. I wonder what would of happened if Easts or Storm played Warriors, there are more Kiwis in both places than NZ

a WA vs NZ final would be the same as a non-Vic final in AFL.
Like when it was Sydney vs West Coast................ no one died, everyone still watched it and the world went on.
Sometimes I cant help being naughty
no kidding
