Goinsoon, it's is great to see people who love their grandkids so much, you really are a gem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think we all love our grandkids very much.
I think it's more the case of the some kids running wild and the parents not caring what they get up to. That's enough to make anyone have a bad day.
I know my grandies are given boundaries and very rarely do they cross the line and if they do they know what to expect.
Not everyone is as good with their kids or grandies as we GN's are unfortunately

We must go to different places than some of you, we hear noisy kids, squealing kids, happy kids, laughing kids and sometimes crying kids.
But get a life if you cannot bear to hear the sound of children then you must have a sad miserable life.
I am glad we are living our life and not the miserable one some here seem to want to live with out the sound of kids around

Please leave it at that GS. You have made your point and are entitled to your opinion as all the others are to theirs.
I am not having a go at you or anyone else but I can see this developing into a slanging match of sorts and that's not what we want on here is it.
Enjoy our kids and our grandies and enjoy our lifestyle, we couldn't ask for anything better.

Yes I agree I will leave it at that Ma!
But be assured if a dog owner comes on and posts complaints about kids you can be sure I will fire up again in their defence.
Not just my grand kids but all kids you know Gods gift to us all

Have to agree with you there gordon.. So much negativity on this thread its enough to scare them away before they even start planning.
Maybe a good idea would be to start a new thread just for complaints about dogs and children.

Surely we don't need to go that far Marj. Sorry state of affairs if we do.
Would think this conversation has run it's course and we should let it die a natural death.

Sorry for starting an argument all - I love kids. I was making an observation about irresponsible parents to counter a point about irresponsible dog owners.

This sounds really great. 3500 acres is pretty big, knowing how most kids love to explore, they could be away for most of the day and be worn out by the end of the day.
Having space between sites is a great idea. Hate hearing the people next door turn over.
En Suites are a great idea, and a seperate ablution block for those not liking en suites would also be a good inclusion.
The inclusion of 4wd tours to the rest of the district would be a great idea. I think that the tour operators would jump at the chance to have more customers.
Let us all know when you get up and running.
Great Idea I reckon GN's will be pretty supportive.

Yes we do seem to wander, it was started by someone posting obout pet friendly accomodation, which was not what the original post was about at all.
Some people just like to push their own barrow sometimes, but if I do not agree you can be sure I will fire up

To some people, pet friendly, is the most important question. It was asked in the context of the original poster question as to how GN might like their faclities. For me personally, as I am fully self contained, all I would like, is a nice quite spot to appreciate nature. Perhaps, availability of good water supply and a dump point. I would not like quad bikes etc but would cope with them.

I'd love to visit a place like that - if the spots are as secluded as indicated then pets/kids/radios/etc will not be an issue will they?
Please publish when you expect to get this venture open and even if it is only half complete (say, people have to bring their own porta potti and shower) then I'll be happy to visit.
