Thursday night strong winds, van did a bit of rock and roll, Friday not too bad a day was some rain though.
Today nice and sunny most of the morning, still a tad cool and then this arvi it clouded over.
Doesn't matter what the weather is like really, you just make the most of every day.

Hey Ma Mr Blaze told me you were going to spend some time at his place in Tassie.
My plans are getting firmed up and I might get over there also.

Yes Elle, even though we are leaving this area tomorrow we plan on coming back when Mr Blaze is in residence. There are still lots of places we haven't been to yet.
Would be great if we are here at the same time.

Boroma577 that sounds like the way to go for us too. I guess that is what the problem is, they have too much going on in there own lives to worry about the parents for christmas. I should be used to it I guess, when you work in aged care you see it all the time.

Topic 1 - Sadness, etc -- Yes, I feel likely this a little bit more often than I like; although since I stopped working for a while and am no longer really stressed - until lately but that too shall pass (hopefully) as I plan to think happier thoughts and get motivated to do the things I have been putting off for a long time.
Topic 2 - Christmas - this year I will spend Christmas Day with my elderly parents and cook them the traditional dinner that they like so much - and sleep it off afterwards!!! As for the rest of the family - well, usually we get together around Christmas Eve or Boxing Day as many of us as well can - usually around 20-24. Nio idea where this year - I had better ring around ............

Sure does Ma.....which is why I no longer celebrate xmas or birthdays.
I figure, if there is no expectation then there is less pain.

A funny thing xmas lunch, for a few years running we parked beside families that go to the same place every year - took them all day to cook in their van then hot sweaty unhappy looking family endured lunch together. We don't do xmas at all, and I know that poor Mum was envying our water melon Daiquiri and cold goodies lunch that day. Why all the fuss
Ingredients: 2 oz light rum (Bacardi ) 1/2 oz triple sec 1 oz lime juice 1/2 tsp sugar 1 cup ice 5 strawberries or watermelon

Agree with you both re "Still hurts though." But Hey! I need to get over it, and get on with the rest of my life also. There are plenty of people worse off than us. At least the family are all healthy, so we should be grateful for that.
