Xmas day with Family on the Sunshine Coast. We head out on the 29 Dec first stop Boonah in Qld away from the coast and the crowds. New Years??? Who knows but that is the beauty of being on the road. Slowly heading to Tamworth for the Country Music Festival in January.

New Year in a small country town is magic, the people are so friendly and make one feel so welcome.

My grandchildren spend Xmas Eve here in the Hunter Valley each year and wake up to "Santa" so I wouldn't swap that for quids.
They stay for lunch and we have any misfits around who would otherwise spend the day on their own.
When they all leave, we are on call so lie down and let lunch do its thing if possible, if not, work.

We live in Esperance, lived in Kal for many years too. Our daughter and family live in Kal so Christmas it be at their place.
We will tow the Teardrop up in case we decide to camp en route.
Take it easy.

We will be in Perth somewhere. We have been meeting up with a couple of other fellow travelers at different places coming south through WA & we have arranged to all meet up in Perth, (yet to be decided), for Christmas dinner. We are all away from family so it had been decided we can all console each other. We would like to wish all nomad travelers, particularly those away from family, a Very Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year.
Regards Chris & Terry

As my daughter lives opposite Bondi beach in Sydney, my son and I will be spending it with her in the park straight across from her front door. Probably with a million backpackers but that will just add to the frivolity

We seem to be getting the family members Xmas visits over a spread out period, this year. Stepdaughter visiting from overseas - but only for a few hours, week before Xmas. My daughter and grandson on Xmas Eve, overnight. Then the usual family tea I have here on Xmas night, but with reduced numbers this year - son and family, brother and sister in law, maybe a friend. Other stepdaughter visiting for a while on Boxing Day.
Just staying home, basically, dealing with the driver's medical stuff and doing lots of physio after my rotator cuff surgery last month.

We will be in Wallerawang with my brother and his family and then heading to Jimboomba before New Year to bring it in with our daughter, son-in-law and children. We will be collecting our niece from Dubbo on the way home so she can spend some quality time with her cousins.
Leaving Brisvegas on Friday 16th and heading down the coast to Taree, Raymond Terrace, Maitland and then through Denman to Wallerawang.
Safe and Happy Christmas to all you travellers out there, and to everyone at home with family.
