Mr & Mrs wombat will be going on the Leeuwin II departing Fremantle port at 1800 returning @ 2100, a short trip out to watch the fireworks from the water.
I envy your trip on Leeuwin, she is a beautiful ship. Several years ago we happened to be in Fremantle as she was departing on a sunset cruise, I swore I would take one one day, not done it yet.
Cheers Neil

We had a very enjoyable day on the Murray River at Yundereup, between Ravenswood and the Mandurah Estuary.
Several friends on 5 boats decked out in Ozzie flags (racists..ha ha) made the most of the 40 degree day in and out of the water.
Most of us had water pistols ranging from Rambo style kids water cannons to home made battery and compressed air appliances better suited to a FireFighting Boat they put out so much water! If any of the hundreds of other boats came within range they got a dousing as well.
Roll on next year, we have 12 months to create a better cannon.
Cheers Neil

Pottering in the garden, making some blocks for my current quilting project, and lamb/salad/pav for tea.
Wet where we were, so we had a lamb roast on the verandah of an old Queensland farm house at Mt. Alford near Boonah.
Can't get more Australian than that

some pics from the Leeuwin
Great pics you must have had a ball, I have looked at them all but I can't see a wombat in any of them
Oh there he is, must have missed it earlier
wombats are camera shy, have you ever tried to photograph one in the wild, it ain't easy
I ducked out of the way, but I was a bit late for this shot
