Saw a mini washing machine at last years Caravan Show in Bne for about $120. Just looked up on ebay, there are minitwin tub washing machines there for around $100 -$130. About 2 - 2.5kg capacity. Are 240v but should run off inverter. 150w power draw. 60cm x 60cm x 40cm approx and about 13kg weight. Look under mini washing machines.

Yes, you can't fit a lot in it, but it saves paying for the laundromat all the time. I guess she still uses the laundromat for sheets etc though.
