I've certainly been guilty of using the mens toilets at times, although not in van parks. Sometimes at events like food festivals, concerts or theatre interval, the ladies queue is out the door while the men just stroll in and out, so some of us stage a raid on the mens, one guards the door and tells any poor bemused bloke that they have to wait a few minutes and the rest of us get some quick relief. Why do these places put in the same number of cubicles in both ladies and mens, when it is obvious to everybody that us women have a more involved process to go through??

I have been laughing me head off reading all the posts. Who cares, Seriously when you have to go to the toilet, I have been known to use the mens at camping grounds etc if the ladies are full. Howard and I often shower together, late at night in camping grounds, never been caught. We even have time to do some small washing.

where we are ATM, parked just outside the amenities, I see people with a bewildered look on their faces when they rush up to the toilet to find the sex they want are all full. They are then encouraged to use the opersite sex amenties as we were whhen first placed in a simular postion. It is also encouraged by park staff. How many households have single sex amenities. Remember years ago going to a shower block (6 shower heads in the same cubicle) in a mining camp only to start my shower to be greeted wit a very feminine voice saying good morning, turns out the working girls used to drop into tis camp once a month and se was having a fresen up before flying out. I shower with my underpants on, get's one piece of washing done at the same time as showering, especially when I have worn them a few times, inside out and back to front they really need a wash by the time I need my weekly shower (did I tell you I was a pommie wombat) now certified aussie.

I've met a bloke coming out of the girl's. At the Pt. Lincoln races the girls used to raid the boys loo out of urgency. All the champers had to go somewhere. I have to admit I'm probably more liberal with my privacy. Working on the boats we wore not much. Just nickers or undies and I wore a shirt, nothing else. Mind you, it was 35 years ago. When we showered we washed our clothes in the shower, changed into clean, dry set, and hung the wet stuff on the clothes line across the foredeck, in front of the wheelhouse. Then continued sorting prawns. I was priveleged on the stations. I had a bathroom at my end of the house and the boss and the overseer had another bathroom at their end of the house. Over at the stockmen's quarters they only had one bathroom, so any visiting girls would come over to the main house, until they built another amentities block in the compound. There are times when you just gotta do what you gotta do. The loo and shower are the priority. The picture on the door is not. Cleanliness is the preferred option, but sometimes I have to turn a blind eye, get in and get out knowing I'd washed today's dirt and sweat off to make room for tomorrow's dirt and sweat. Hot and cold running water and a flushing dunny is the luxury sometimes. The picture on the door doesn't mean much.

Yep there was a typo there it should have read wash their clothes and of course you keep yours on Mate, a bit hard to shed all that dirty fur so you can wash your skin. It is all that dirty fur that clogs everything up.

Stayed at the show grounds at Bendigo and the then partner went to the showers. Ladies was closed and had to use the men's. No doors so if she was in the showers and any male walked in for any reason she was open to scrutiny LOL.
Was not a happy lady. Instant pack up and after a few phone calls move to a caravan jail.
Have had the enlightened European girls shower under a beach shower when in SA. Stripped down and showered and dried with 15ft of my bus. Sorry boys they would have moved on and they did not give a forwarding address.

Have had similar happen at concerts too, like Big Day Out where they get about 50,000 people attending and all toilets have ridiculous queues. Standing at the urinal taking a leak when girls walk past to use the cubicles. The funny thing though is when all the blokes heckle the person at the front of the queue to see if you can give them stage-fright.

Hubby and I usually shower late afternoon in parks then there are no problems with them being too busy.

Sometimes I feel like I'm in the tumble dryer, but that has more to do with my state of health rather than any physical experience. I've been washing smalls and other clothing items in showers since boarding school. Sometimes it's just a convenient and practical solution. Making the most of an opportunity.
