Oh boy - did we get the winds last night - rockin' and rollin' all night - trees down all along the road to Rochester, and on the corner of the road into Greens as well! Still windy, but the sun is out, though very cold now, weak sunshine!!!!
All well here though!
I did think of you all up there as we copped a lot of wind but no damage here thank goodness more tomorrow so take care....

Looks like a nice weekend coming up so we are gonna try and get up that way Friday arvo for the weekend (head home Monday)
What are the facilities available?
Dump point?
Phone and internet reception (Telstra)?
other?
I am assuming there is plenty of space or does the weekend get real busy?
Heading up from Geelong so any clues on best way to get there also appreciated.
Cheers
Mike

Hi Mike - not many facilities - flushing toilets, can use the water from the lake (tap in toilet) for washing up etc., Telstra phone and internet ok - but not right on the lakes edge apparently. No dump point. (Will send you a PM). Bring water for drinking. Genies ok,
Up through Bendigo - then head for Shepparton - all the way to Corop - the turn into Greens Lake has a sign on it - about 3 -4 k east of the Corop store, on the left hand side.
Ken Thomas is probably going to be here for the weekend as well. Plenty of room up here, no problem.
Who will be at Greens Lake on Saturday the 5th October. Might come up for a day trip.

Well, we will, Ken Thomas, Mike C, and at the moment there are a few others here, don't know if there any GN's among them - or how long they are staying.
Another couple we met here today, out for a day trip, will be out tomorrow for the weekend in their fifth wheeler! John and Laura.
So come on up - you will find us pretty easily - left of the toilet block, on the tree line - Conquest motorhome - we love getting visitors, so welcome, welcome!

My wife, granddaughter and myself went up to Greens Lake today..Friday... to look around as we had not been there previously....certainly all and more that has been described and I can see why GN's make return journeys...we will certainly take the tent or the Van for a stay....they remained in Bendigo...
Saw about half dozen Caravans and MH's plus equal number of tents....& three boats were fishing as it was great weather...couldn't see too many being caught however...we were amazed how much lake /shore land is available for camping...
Q: I looked for any GN stickers on cars or Vans/MH's and couldn't see any.....thought about a mosey over and say G'day if I had seen one....were there no GN's there, or is it just my failing eyesight!?
I was in a dual cab silver Mitsubishi Triton.....we will definitely return....great location not to be missed...Hoo Roo

Gdn, you are supposed to make yourself known while you are there, not after.
Billeee and Jules would have been there. He has a large sticker "Billeeees Conquest" they may have gone for a drive.
Not all have a grey nomads sticker.

We were here GDN - Jayco Conquest Motorhome - got Billeeeeeee's Conquest on the front, bikes on the back, GN sticker on back window! Camped up on the tree line - come on out and visit!!!!!! Three GN's here now - another motorhome behind us, and a smaller one just across the track.
I did think of you all up there as we copped a lot of wind but no damage here thank goodness more tomorrow so take care....
