Just back from Nimbin and Murwillumbah - now at Boonah till the end of the week - gonna have some visitors Monday or Tuesday - Pricies - yes Robyn and Ted are coming to Boonah - haven't seen them for ages - will be good to have a catch up.
Don't know where next on one of our "little holidays" - friends are at Lake Carradine (?), after having stayed at Laidly Showgrounds and Lake Dwyer - they said all are pretty good - the Lake is a free camp with a drop toilet only. The others have all the amenities.
But then again, Nanango is a nice place, might head there and have a look around, got a friend on Bribie - got to visit her soon.
Some excitement this morning, went out for a walk and got caught in an unexpected very short duration hailstorm
Wife had to come and rescue me
Sun is now shining and it is a beautiful day

Took old Fuso in for brown slip inspection . Preparing our place for weekend stag night . Sorting out gungi gas cooker . Errected steel brackets between house and fence and put up 10m X 900mm roofing on dead side of house . Oiled the deck ., removed 500 old house bricks . Re arranged some pot plants . Before arthritis set in . Lol

Replaced a few planks on deck . Pretty close to getting colour right lol .
Rocket - the hair turned out good - well I think so anyway - still the two colours. The pizza sounds great - and you can make it so much nicer and healthier than bought ones.
AK - you watch yourself at the stag night - never know what might happen -

Repaired ridge capping. Lucky heights don't worry me . Had company install colourbond facia and gutters . But ohh did they mess up my roof tiles . On the side I have 90* over ridge . They didn't attach them poroperly . I fitted them back with stainless 100 mm screws .made up a top section ^ as the ve at top had broken . So I made up a 2mm stainless plate bent to fit . Dun. ---- Strange how these companies say how good they are when quoting ! Keep in mind it was over 3 houses too ! Did the rubbish job on the pace I live in !!

Went to see a friend in her new home today - and very nice it is too. Then all of us went to Carindale (QLD) shopping centre - haven't bee there for about 20 years - boy has it grown. Didn't stay too long, just did what we had to do, had a really nice lunch and then off home again.

Hi All
Today I got a bit excited, well really a lot excited. I filled the 3 tanks up with water, the 3rd one is additional one which I have plumbed seperate to the others to keep it for drinking water only.
Solar panels were fitted while we lazed about at Urangan by our repairman, done a great job including fitting new air vents in the en suite. to add to that I have placed another battery box along side the orignal giving us ample power while we travel.
Tonight we have our primary school teacher niece arriving from out of town to stay for couple of nights so she can attend extra training course here in Brisbane.
Now I am really ready to go caravaning, bring it on, no excuses.

Arrived at Greens Lake, Vic, after a drive down from northern NSW - had a good trip - stopped at a little offroad spot with three others near Yass, just off the highway, and not a bad stop. Early morning showed lots of fog sitting in the valleys, very pretty.
Greens is, of course, blowing a gale, actually whistling! Not many here, had a couple of speed boats on the water yesterday - good to watch, as well as a sail boat, and some young people doing a swimming race from shore to the marker buoys!

Yes the East Coast caravan parks are expensive, but if you go inland a little bit to the smaller towns, often heaps cheaper. We stopped at Forster one time, they wanted $64/pn - I had $40 in my hand, and turned to walk away - oh, wait, as it is the end of the school holidays, and of the peak season, you can have it for the "normal" price of $36 - get inside and dozens of empty spots.

Hi Rocket
On my to do list is Weeroona C/P Manning Point near Taree.
I have not seen it, just heard about it, don't yell me if it not good.
The other one but not on the coast is Coopernook State Forest Park, a freeby.
Another is at Macksville worth a look is Gumma Reserve, low cost.
Hat Head, is fairly inviting also. If that fails Kempsy showground for a cheapy.
Have a look on f/b Showgrounds Rec and Sports ground camping. some good stuff coming though on that.
Hope this helps
I get away Thursday for few days to test all our work on the caravan. whippy.
