Hey Rocket - in Victoria at the moment, though I flew to Brissy earlier this week to go to my twin grandsons' formal - was a great night, the boys looked great, so did their partners. Was a great night.
In Bunyip, Victoria, again now - got a funeral on Tuesday - old family friend - only 52! Too young! Heading north again at the end of the month.

Hi Rocket I thought you were looking for ocean views, not waterfalls and bush views.
Hope you enjoyed up there it's a beautiful area with lots of things to see very cheaply, fabulous forest drives, river views. Did I say fabulous forest drives.
Bellingen showgrounds is a relaxing place stay with some short drives to local areas.

We had a test run with the van last weekend for 5 days, needed to use showgrounds for power to run the A/C in 38 to 44 deg heat up at Imbil Qld way, it was hot but all went well. A couple of things need doing a light over the slide out bbq, the block out slide up curtains on the windows don't let the breeze in, now to have loose curtains made. I think 4 season hatches are better then these fancy European ones, they let in to much heat and to much light of a night, I also think the old wind out window was more user friendly.
I like having hot water at the kitchen sink, shower works a treat
Now to find the time to escape to anywhere. In the mean time I might climb underneath and check suspension parts, paint the axles and the chassis to freshen them up.

Glad you enjoyed you "shakedown" trip Radar - hope you have many happy journeys in her.
Thought you might like to see my handsome boys - and their gorgeous partners.
Just got back from the avan WA Christmas event in Albany. (my first,(xmas one) being new to vanning) Lots of fun and did two days at Parry Beach on the way home. The inside is cleaned & mounds of washing done. Now its time to tackle the outside which is still caked with NW mud. We're having a heat wave here so it might be a good day to play with water. The car will be next.

I left my car at my brothers workplace recently for a week, it was a bit of a mess, hadn't had a wash or cleanout inside for a looooooong time.
Came back, the detailers (my bro works at a prestige car dealer) thought it looked terrible, so cleaned it inside and out for me - bit dusty now after some dirt roads. But looks better than it did.

Then to the caravan place to get a part that broke on the leg of my Fiamma awning. Thankfully they had one in stock.

Didn't do much at all today - took a walk with son and the rest of the crew around the fence line. They found a poor old corella the other evening, he couldn't fly, and had no strength in his beak. On his last legs I think, he was gone this morning. Went into Avoca to the Pyrenees Pie Shop - they have every sort of pie, just about - camel, buffalo, emu, kangaroo, and normal ones as well - a very nice pie!

Crikey - I would be more than knackered - went to the airport to pick granddaughter, and her partner, up today, daughter drove, she did well, she doesn't drive in the city at all really. I drove home, straight run now with the tunnels - probably takes a good half hour off the trip from out here.
Hope you enjoy Christmas with your family - and a very merry Christmas to Strop as well!!!!!

Went to Green Lake Recreation Reserve Camp book 8 VIC 426, for what will now be, only an overnight stop
Met up with Dougwe, Glenelg Dave, Mr and Mrs Rocket, and (hope I got this name right) Janet All very nice Grey Nomad people
Hopefully I shall return to spend a longer time here, before I return to the wild west Unfortunately due to the boss wanting to push on, we will be in Parkes tomorrow
Many thanks to Doug for putting me wise to a shorter travelling road from the camp to Parkes
As a sidenote I am well on my way to get into the Guinness Book of Records I had my third can of beer since Christmas 2016
Thank you.
