I favour this GN forum, and have a few friends on FB. I did a lot of blogging when I was writing full time in Cairns. Anything to get my work out there in an attempt to grab the attention of an agent and/or publisher. No luck so far. I'm the most techno savvy in my tribe I think. My younger 2 are on FB, but don't think it's cool to be friends with Mum. I am now friends with my youngest feral child, and her daughter. I was frequenting a couple of other travel/nomad forums but I found them too hard to work with, and too complicated follow, and then the b!tch factor set in, so I was out of there.

HW & GS you would need more than a stick to kill a wombat (I hope)
Aw, that's so cute. Only Mrs. Wombat would think our Wombat was so cute, wouldn't she? Cheeky old bugger. Still really cute.

I am on 3 other sites. Even though I am only new here, it seems that this is the friendliest between members, and that a lot have taken the time to meet up with each other along the way.
Just a little curious though, apart from Facebook and Twitter, which I am not a fan of, how come nobody mentioned the names of the other sites?
Not long to go now, leaving Perth for Albany this Saturday, and then the slow trip east.

For the reason you mentioned Dellalan. They're not so friendly and remain nameless here. Many of us have tried those other nomad forums and for that very reason we stay here among friends - friends in travel, no matter what you drive, how big you van is, where you've been, how many gadgets you have and how much they cost. Personally I couldn't give a rats a... about those issues. For me, it's all about the travel, the places to go and the people I meet. And that's GN.

CG do you mean I'm cute or do you mean the picture?
Re your last post CG, you have it in a nutshell that's exactly what GN is.
DA have a great slow trip across the nulla, oh and keep your eyes open for the Nullarbor nymph, here's a pic so that you know what to look for, sorry about the dust on the lens
