That is the man Sheba, who do you have for all of us
I would have put up a video of his most famous song, "Your the voice", but am having some problems uploading stuff
John Peter Farnham AO (born 1 July 1949) is an English-born Australian singer. Farnham was a teen pop idol from 1967 until 1979, billed then as Johnny Farnham, but has since forged a career as an adult contemporary singer. His career has mostly been as a solo artist, although he replaced Glenn Shorrock as lead singer of Little River Band from 1982 to 1985
In September 1986, his solo single "You're the Voice" peaked at No. 1 on the Australian singles charts. The associated album, Whispering Jack, held the No. 1 position for a total of 25 weeks and is the 2nd-highest-selling album in Australian history. Both the single and the album had top-ten success internationally, including No. 1 in Sweden.

How's this one ... Should be easy for Taswegians.
My fixed NBN on co-axis working OK as usual ... but at 1/2 the speed of my similar priced pre NBN Telstra fixed Broadband on the same co-ax. Go figure.
Joseph Aloysius Lyons was an Australian politician who served as the 10th Prime Minister of Australia, in office from 1932 until his death in 1939. He began his career in the Labor Party, but became the founding leader of the United Australia Party after the 1931 party split. He had earlier served as Premier of Tasmania from 1923 to 1928.Wikipedia
When I looked at the picture I thought that he looked familiar.
Now that you have put a name to it I can immediately recognise him.
Well done.
edit ... I hope that you are right, or I'll look like a goose.

G'day Sheba. That's him. Who do you have for us?
Cheers.
Edward Gough Whitlam AC QC was the 21st Prime Minister of Australia, serving from 1972 to 1975. The Leader of the Labor Party from 1967 to 1977, Whitlam led his party to power for the first time in 23 years at the 1972 election.
Even with the clue, it took a while. Les Darcy, the Maitland Mauler.

Wow ... Well done. I thought that it would take much longer.
I picked up a copy of Peter FitzSimon's (?) book for $1 at Vinnies. A great read.
The great Les Darcy was eventually brought down by blood poisoning from infected teeth that had been knocked out in an earlier fight & badly re-fitted.
Has to be Johnny Farnham.

Looks as though this might drag on a bit, so this clue might help. He was as famous as Hitler in his day.
In his later years he had a Moustache.
Thanks to Dr Google, I finally found the same photo of a young Joseph Stalin ... 15 YO at the time.
Oops sorry about the size .. don't know how to reduce it.

Right you are Cupie. Who do you have for us ?
Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin (born Ioseb Besarionis dz Jughashvili[a]; 18 December [O.S. 6 December] 1878[1] 5 March 1953) was a Georgian revolutionary and Soviet politician who led the Soviet Union from the mid1920s until 1953 as the general secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (19221952) and premier of the Soviet Union (19411953). Despite initially governing the Soviet Union as part of a collective leadership, he eventually consolidated power to become the country's de facto dictator by the 1930s. A communist ideologically committed to the Leninist interpretation of Marxism, Stalin formalised these ideas as MarxismLeninism, while his own policies are known as Stalinism.
Born to a poor family in Gori in the Russian Empire (now Georgia), Stalin joined the Marxist Russian Social Democratic Labour Party as a youth. He edited the party's newspaper, Pravda, and raised funds for Vladimir Lenin's Bolshevik faction via robberies, kidnappings, and protection rackets. Repeatedly arrested, he underwent several internal exiles. After the Bolsheviks seized power during the 1917 October Revolution and created a one-party state under Lenin's newly renamed Communist Party, Stalin joined its governing Politburo. Serving in the Russian Civil War before overseeing the Soviet Union's establishment in 1922, Stalin assumed leadership over the country following Lenin's 1924 death. Under Stalin, "Socialism in One Country" became a central tenet of the party's dogma. Through the Five-Year Plans, the country underwent agricultural collectivisation and rapid industrialisation, creating a centralised command economy. This led to significant disruptions in food production that contributed to the famine of 193233. To eradicate accused "enemies of the working class", Stalin instituted the "Great Purge", in which over a million were imprisoned and at least 700,000 executed between 1934 and 1939. By 1937, he had complete personal control over the party and state
I am so confident that no one will get this one that I'll give a clue right up ..

Even with the clue, it took a while. Les Darcy, the Maitland Mauler.
