Salvatore Phillip "Sonny" Bono was an American singer-songwriter, producer, actor, and politician who came to fame in partnership with his second wife Cher as the popular singing duo Sonny & Cher. Wikipedia
No flys on you Sheba I thought it might have been a bit harder over to you.
Alan Walbridge Ladd (September 3, 1913 January 29, 1964) was an American actor and film and television producer. Ladd found success in film in the 1940s and early 1950s, particularly in Westerns such as Shane (1953) and in films noir. He was often paired with Veronica Lake in noirish films such as This Gun for Hire (1942), The Glass Key (1942) and The Blue Dahlia (1946).
His other notable credits include Two Years Before the Mast (1946), Whispering Smith, his first Western and color film, (1948) and The Great Gatsby (1949). His popularity diminished in the late 1950s, though he continued to appear in popular films, including his first supporting role since This Gun for Hire in the smash hit The Carpetbaggers (1963), until his accidental death due to a lethal combination of alcohol, a barbiturate, and two tranquilizers.

Thanks Sandy. Lets see who we can find this time. Should be pretty easy, considering the clues right in front of your eyes. Only problem at the moment, is that I can't remember his name. I'll know it when I see it though.
Oh dear I cheated here.
But then again the answer I got could be way off.
Google told me - Oscar Leonard Carl Pistorius, is that correct?
Googles pic was a tad different to the features shown here.
Cheers - Ian

The answer you got is correct Mobi. Just hope you didn't use Facial recognition for identification. Wouldn't be any point in having the Game at all, if we all did that.
Who do you have for us this time ?
Oscar Leonard Carl Pistorius is a South African former professional sprinter and convicted murderer. Both of Pistorius' feet had been amputated when he was 11 months old due to a congenital defect. He was born missing the outside of both feet and both fibulae. Pistorius ran in both non-disabled sprint events and in sprint events for below-knee amputees. He was the tenth athlete to compete at both the Paralympic Games and Olympic Games.

That's right they can keep him locked up. First he got 6 years and then they extended it to 13 but that is still a light sentence for what he did.

Howdy all, NO I did not use facial recognition, THAT WOULD BE WORSE THAN DRUG CHEATING!
Being an ex Track and field athlete from the 1960's and 70's I still keep an active interest in that sphere. How I wish I could just run now!!!!
Thus the South African Uniform, the 2 blades as they are called, made me look up Disabled Athletes though and I do feel that I did have an advantage there. So I also added the field of South African to my search.
PLUS the pic shown has a profile where as the google stuff has a full facial (nearly) view.
Any way I am very happy to hand over the turn to another as I have had a few "wins" thus far in this very interesting and fantastically wide spread game.
I would like to nominate either Cadpete or Relax-n for a go now, plus I have to get off quick for a Med Appt as well so would be at least tomorrow before I got to post another pic.
Cheers - Ian

Mobi Condo you basically did a google search that's OK that's what we all do if we can't recognise the person. When it goes stale the poster gives a clue and then we Google again

OK I am learning a bit.
This dapper looking guy was a brave and gallant young man.

Thanks for that Sandy. Mobi, the reason I posted that comment, was that some-one did use it a long time ago. When you said you had "cheated", I thought I'd better say something,
just in case. That person is still with us, but doesn't play the Game anymore. Most of us, if not all felt the same as you.
As Sandy says, normal Googling is fine. Otherwise we'd be stuck sometimes for weeks, on the one subject.
Cheers,
Sheba.

I know that face, but I can't put a name to him yet.
An older version of him has been on the TV lately
All I can think at the moment, is that he's a Politician.
Yes a VERY prominent Politician and we will see much more of him as days go by.
