After several days of high 20's, today the wind changed to a chilly SSE, and the temp has dropped with it. No rain yet, but fingers crossed.

Light misty rain here but it was good for the garden, (also South Coast) I think we got about 15mls in the rain gauge last night. The boss has gone to Bunnings for some things...may not see him for the rest of the weekend but I will check that amount of rain when he gets home! cheers Capricorn

Dunmowin perhaps it should read gumboots he would like to be in.
Still raining out side, tomorrow a short walk to the station for a 2 hour train ride, then 25 minutes bus ride better then a poke in the eye with a blunt stick.
I do some of my replys on a Bauhn Tablet and it has a mind of it's own, it changers my spelling around. So if you saw your name changed it was not my doing.

Well being a Brisbanite we are finding the Melbourne weather very cold. Arrived at Beveridge about 40 klms north of Melbourne CBD on Monday. Been freezing. However today is the first sign of warmth for the week. Should have planned our trip a couple of months later. I can now fully understand why all the grey nomads in Victoria want to travel north to the warmth of Queensland, particularly the coastal strip north to Cooktown. Obviously it is veryd cold in outback Queensland.
Yet to visit the city. Looking forward to going to the MCC. They only talk about one winter sport down here and it is not NRL. Go the Cowboys, or if not then go the mighty Bunnies.

Hi Gerty, while we (from Qld) think it has been wet here in WA, apparently, it is not as much as they would like. The dams we have been visiting on the scarp are all very low - I think one was around 25%, another was 16%.
Today the sun is shining (so far)! About 13 degrees at the moment, promising to get to the max of 18!

I went through Kulin to Hyden, BruceRock and back to Perth, starting Friday 13th until last night. Rain, more ran and wind right through. Lots of water pooling everywhere. I think it will bring some relief to the farmers in that area.

How wonderful that rain was in Brisbane last night. Sun shining bright this morning and in for a lovely day. Watching the brown grass turn green in front of my eyes. Just a touch of summer ahead and the storms we expect later on.

As Milo said in another thread, plenty of rain and wind on the south coast NSW. If you are travelling in this area, please check for road closures before you start. The Princes Highway is closed south of Nowra due to an accident, and just heard on the radio that the Kings highway, Illawarra highway also have closures, trees across roads, flooding etc.
Poor bloke who lives near us lost his roof last night in the storm.
