Hi Everyone, sorry about the above post. I could not do this post until i did that one again. don't know why.
RADAR: glad you are having a good time.
ME: I chose new glasses today, eventually. It is a long story and one for when i have had a few wines, in fact i could have done with a few wines when i left the shop. I tried windscreen car protector on bedroom window and used suction caps. Not successful. So now am using the little round tags that one side sticks to the wall and the other side sticks to the screen. still seems cold air draught though. see how tonight goes. cheers. rocket n strop

Hi Rocket - good to hear from you - sounds like you had a hoot choosing glasses!!!!!! Double sided tape (a good one, not cheapy from Crazy Clarries or whatever) - press firmly - and I think most people leave them on permanently, make sure they fit to the very edges of the window. Yeoeleven has silver backed (both sides) insulation, which is thickly padded. Use the double sided tape all round the screen.
As for us - well sitting at Wuruma - eight of us - me the only female at the moment - but that is ok - having lovely feeds of red claw, made fried rice the other night for all of us - delicious. We will be here for quite a while - got some others coming up to boost the numbers - packed around the dam itself, but we are on the high side, and a flat area which we call Wuruma Heights, all fitting nicely - fire most nights, lots of laughter.
What else is happening with you guys? Strop ok?

Hi Jules, I have put it around edges of window but am wondering if I need to do it again and go around the wood part of the van around the windows. may need thicker insulation maybe. the one we are using is a cut down car sun viser. Can you ask Yeoeleven what he used please? Went to specialist yesterday - good news - blood tests say it has been stopped but I still have sore wrist, knee so dr. said "almost halted". bit more to go. such good news only I have a moist cough and off to see a gerd. specialist. dr. not sure if it is tablets that are causing it and giving me another problem. have changed tactics today, I am going to take tablets with a full meal. see how that goes even though chemist has not written "eat with food" on any prescription. I just want to leave Brisbane. all in all, all's good. will be up your way early july. say hello to everyone. cheers. rocket.

No worries - we will find you a spot nearby when you get here. Good news re the blood tests, and good luck re the cough - but one of my pills says to take at night, if I do I get indigestion - so take it in the am, no problem.
Yeoeleven had a roll of building insulation (silver each side, and very thickly padded with some synthetic stuff) I will ask him how keeps them on the windows.

Wow. that is great. what did you collect it in? Is it good enough for drinking?
Yes, grandkids are my soft spot. Grandson went into kindy today and ran up to his teacher and said "My Nanny coming to see me at kindy". When I did a surprise visit last year to kindy for another grandson, he was sitting on the floor listening to the teacher read a story and saw me out of the corner of his eye and his eyes nearly popped out of his head, he smiled excitedly, yelled out Nanny, Nanny, Nanny and ran to me and jumped into my arms. One of my "life highlights". Daughter saw it and had tears in her eyes and said "he misses you sooooo much". One of the pitfalls of kids having to move because of a job.

Few months back we brought a you bute thing called a Tablet, a computer thingy, have now placed the cameras in the plastic box where I throw unwanted electrical gear ie old mobiles, adding up machines, paper cameras, you know old thingies. I think there is a wind up watch in there.
My photos taken with my Tablet it's called Sam, is taking great memories, so easie to post on facebook or Grey Nomads straight from Sam to you like.
I hope you enjoyed your time looking at cameras before they disappear off the shop shelves.
We can't wait to go again this cleaning and gardening is getting me down.

Hi Radar, Glad you are having fun with your tablet thingy. don't know about them yet. Got frustrated with all the selection and the price and came home and played with my own camera and low and behold it started to work. one of the little circle thingys on the top keep falling off so I have decided to put some sticky tape on it to hold it in auto position. see how that goes. hope I have solved the dilemma without buying another camera. Hi all, I arrived in Darwin Wednesday and have been pretty busy. Grandkids sports day Thursday what fun! Since then I have been visited by a mate from Tassie who I last saw when we were both in WA and my cousins who are from Brisbane took me to dinner then to see Le Soiree last night, great fun. Have also been feasting on mud crab the boys caught, yum! It has even rained here this morning in the city and Winnellie. I plan on staying awhile, I really miss the Territory. Cheers all, Colleen

Rocket - hey today was a goodish day in Mundubbera - ha-ha got ya now? - just here for a couple of nights, then back to Wuruma Dam - in a caravan park, called The Big Mardarin - and the manager said - help yourselves to the mandarins in the park, otherwise they just fall on the ground and rot - few backpackers doing picking etc., camped here, but pretty quiet park, and at $15 power and water a good deal. Walking distance to the shops (three blocks).
Heading south from Wuruma probably mid next week, via some friends along the way. Will call you when in the area. Say g'day to Strop!
