The control tower looks very much like Laverton Vic, but the runways are gone now. So the next closest is Pt Cook which has a museum and a similar control tower.

I have been to Laverton airshow when I lived in Victoria. Didn't know the runways had gone, in the dark about that over here in WA.

Queensland? I reckon I climbed it once but for safety, it was closed a couple levels from the top. If not Qld, I've climbed a few towers all over Aust, so it could've been any one of a number.

There's a dam to the south west( controlled by SEQWater) with great fishing and camping .
