I have uninstalled Microsoft 365 because my 1 year free subscription ends soon.
As a replacement I have installed Office 2007, why? well now I only use 2 parts of Office, word and excel.
I am comfortable with 2007 where 365 is a bit too bossy.

I have been using the free LibreOffice Community for years without problems.
Has all the usual stuff like
Writer, Calc,Presentation, Draw, Database & Math (whatever that is).

I used a windows version of Open Office for years before changing to Libre. Can't recall why I changed.

Probably because it is more advanced than OOo. LibreOffice has far more developers working on it to update it and find loopholes that may be used by others to ge into your system.

As Peter said, Libre Office has more ongoing development work. The last release for Open Office was December 2023.
I don't use either because my MS Office 2013 still works fine. Apparently Libre Office has a ribbon style user interface, like the more recent versions of MS Office, while the user interface for Open Office is the older style. From what I read, familiarity with the old interface is virtually the only reason to choose Open Office.
