I'm driving from Yamba to Dubbo in a few weeks and would like some advice on the easiest road to take towing a van.
It looks like two main routes, through Tamworth on A15, 676 Kms, or is it a better road through Glen Innes on B76 which is 724 Kms?
I'm not keen on the Waterfall Way route as that looks very hilly and twisty from what I've seen.
Your help much appreciated. Cheers Vince

Hi Vince. The easiest, although longest is via Hexham and the Golden Highway through the Hunter Valley. No significant climbs at all. The next best in less steep climbs is the Gwydir through Grafton exiting at Glenn Innis. The worst is the Oxley through Wauchope. The first 50 kms is winding and steep. The road is also closed several days a week while they repair land slips. Hope that helps.

Via Gibraltar mountain, Gwydir hwy. Their is a climb but not as bad as the others. I am local to this road, as I use it to get to Ballina.
