My wife and I are one of the many oldies travelling with a pet. I have microchipped my dog but because we are of no fixed address it seems silly to register the dog at any particular council,is it not possible that by being chipped our pets are deemed registered in which ever area we are currently visiting. I would like some feedback on this as I think many nomads are affected by this.By being responsible pet owners we will have our animals chipped and maybe included on a national register of pets.
Thanks Tony

Why not have your address as 'Phone Numbers' or a good friend / relative.
And if your dog does become missing, you are in that area, so just contact the authorities of that district. Be aware of ticks etc; of area's passing thru and bans by National parks.
Other than that..Have fun.
Cheers

If your dog is microchipped it will be on the national pet register. If you are a Pensioner it is free to register a dog. If it is not displaying some sort of registration tag and gets lost it will probably be taken to a pound and cost you the earth to reclaim. A tag with the dogs name and a mobile phone number is a good idea because if lost and found by a good citizen they can just call the number rather than having to get the microchip read....
