Hi Guys, Can anyone give me some advice on where to look for a Station Hand position. Hubby and I are taking off with the kids round September for 12-18 months, and would like to get any type of work on the way. I am qualified in Day Care and hubby is a panel beater by trade (19yrs), has MR licence, experienced with mig, oxy and stick welding, has fork lift license, tow truck license (10yrs) and is currently managing a panel shop and is first aid qualified. Having said that, we would both give anything a go.
Would love work in WA but would take anywhere we could. Thanks heaps Nenie

Hi Nenie,
I presume that you are looking for PAID work as opposed to volunteer work?
What about the CES, JobSearch, or whatever it's called now?
Cheers,
Peter.

Hi Nenie, The Harvest trail website is a good contact point for fruit picking jobs and other farm work. Check the link at http://jobsearch.gov.au/harvesttrail/. You might also check the 'Help Wanted' link on our website. We often get cattle stations looking for help - we've had a couple of recent listings on our Queensland help wanted page. Also, I would be happy to post your details (as per your post) on our 'work wanted' page. We have created it as a free service to help travellers in need of work and people in need of help find each other so there is no charge for advertising on it. Best of luck with it all.

Thanks so much - we are going up for a job interview on the June longweekend to a lovely couple on a cattle station - hopefully this will come through.
