I need some advice. Due to an accident years ago, hubby has limited vision out of his right eye which poses some problems when parking the van. We are in the process of having the towbar and wiring done on our new vehicle and have asked the installer for advice but this has been vague in the extreme! What is the best option for us, can anyone advise as to the best reversing camera setup to install?

Hi sorry to hear about hubby but we all have our cross to bear, as with regards to reversing cameras, one of the better ones that I have seen can be found on ebay it is made by abr and the item number is 260256435699 it is about $500.00 and has a 5.5 inch moniter and two cameras ( one at the rear of car and other at the rear of van ) it looks to be a simple install. as eluded to before on this forum most auto electricians arent up to the needs of motorhomers but I am sure if you told him of this, or similar, device then he would be able to install it
Except I shorted out the reverse only function so that it can be on all the time and I can see behind my Caravan (scary how close some people get). Easy to install, fantasic in use, one of those things that I wonder how I ever did without. Also don't get one with a small monitor, Mine fits over the existing rear view mirror and gives good resolution, the 2.5" screens are only really anygood to see if something is in your way, the 7" screen makes a big difference......
I fitted a reversing camera myself. Bought via ebay:
