I grew up having a roast every sunday and continue to do so today. Our van doesn't have an oven and I was a little concerned how I was going to keep the tradition going. Found this little beauty at Cash convertors for only $20, its a small 600W rotisorie, so far have cooked a small chook-35minutes and a small cut of beef 100 minutes. No major drain on the batteries so I am very happy.
Looks a little bewedy.... I've seen the ones in Kmart that have a large pyrex bowl to do the roasting in but this looks betterer....Oh roast on the road, where the dear and the antelope roam......

seems to be the goods but the 600 watt price tag would kill my 300 watt inverter, now if I could just tame that damn filthy camp oven, however I still have the cobb, I think I will do some more work to squeeky and start taking her out a bit more often on shorter trips and take more home comforts with me, of course there is always the generator (not bloody likely)

Hey . what's the prob with a genny . the later models are so quite and economical on fuel for long bush stays they are the go . I've seen them in operation in town caravan sites without complaint . Not everyone's cuppa but as a battery saver they have a place out there especially in the NT around the billabongs

That looks like a great little machine, Gary and Kerry. We've got one of those big, heavy cast iron camp ovens. It does a great roast but it's difficult to clean and it's not always practical to use (the fire has to be just so and you can't be impatient!).

G'day ..
When we had our van built she who must be obeyed said that she wanted an oven .. so we have one (gas). It is usually used to store bulky things like a small bread maker (when going into the frozen bread territory) or the wok etc. But, when we take the urge to do a joint it is fantastic. You would be amazed at the number of passers by who stop to talk as the odour of a leg of lamb with garlic & rosemary wafts across the site!
cheers .. G

I like the look of that, Gary and Kerry. What brand is it? Might see if I can track one down.

Was down at the local markets this morning and came across one the same. Secondhand shops and markets are the best place to look.
