the dragon and I were sitting at a coffee shop at our local shopping centre when we observed a middle aged lady walking up the carpark row, turned and took a picture, she walked to the entrance and turned and took another picture, turned 90deg. and took another one, another 45deg and yep another, I said to the dragon she must be sending photos of the new renovations to freinds and family, thought no more of it, a little later she came in to have a cup of coffee, and me being a gregarious old fart had to say hello and steering the conversation to find out why the photos, she answered quite simply, "SO I CAN FIND THE BLOODY CAR AGAIN" well I fell off my chair, I thought, hell I will be like that one day

OMG........and she had been driving a car.....forget the coffee..where is that hard stuff.

 

It's a real problem, aged drivers.... Yes we will all get there one day....Recently my 85 yo father went for his Test and passed. I must say that if what he told me was correct then a lot would not get thru the test, in NSW it is a mental as well as a physical driving test. Dad said the instructor told him to turn into certain streets by name rather than just say "turn left at the next intersection" also asked him questions about roadside signage " How far to Callala at the next intersection?" I'm pleased they do this actually I wish they would now insist that all drivers had to speak & read english. Racist I know but if I applied for a  drivers licence in Hanoi or Bejing I doubt very much if I could even fill out the application as they don't employ translators for "foreigners".

Have to agree Should she be out on her own let alone driving . Did you get the rego so I can keep an eye out and steer clear. . Given she could operate the camera I do hope it was a digital unit not on film
