Morning All; have noticed that some of you are vets; was anyone in Army at Vung Tau and knew any drivers in 8 field ambulance during 67/68? Had a mate back then and wondered what he might be doing now? Cheers

30 years RAAF 2 in Vietnam on Dustoffs and FAC's . What's your mates name and what years was he on the farm.
For those who don't understand the term farm it refers to Vietnam and it goes something like this. .................
"If I had a home in hell and a farm in Vietnam I'd sell the farm and go home"

Names appear on your whiteboard. Three local lads I knew in RAAF all killed was big blow for town. Sympathetic to those years, as personally know of some with problems still. Also my dad in WW2, was alcoholic with malaria, left us when I was 15 so I think each war has/had its own ongoing tragic legacies.

Wars never solve anything. Although having served in a number of hell holes around the world in my 30 years the one thing that always stands out in my mind is that wars only look after the greedy never the needy . What the world considers today's freedom fighter becomes tomorrows despot and it all starts over again
On my way to Darwin tonight so will look up the whiteboard when i return in a couple of weeks
